The Sniper

The Kukri is the default melee weapon for the Sniper. It is a large, slightly curved blade which is loosely based on the Nepalese design of the same name.

  • The kukri is a knife made famous by the Indian and Nepalese Gurkha warriors. It originated in Nepal and is used as a weapon, a general tool, and in religious ceremonies.
    • The Sniper's Kukri more closely resembles a bolo knife, as a traditional kukri has a more angled and curved blade.
  • Multiple kukris can be seen hanging as ornaments from the Christmas tree behind the Engineer in the Australian Christmas 2011 comic "True Meaning".
