Pumpkin Bombs are an environmental hazard unique to the event versions of Harvest and Mann Manor. They spawn in set positions on each map and will explode when damaged, causing high damage over a moderate radius. After a short amount of time they will respawn, ready to be blown apart again.
Pumpkin Jump
A player can perform a 'pumpkin jump' by standing on or near a pumpkin bomb, and either jumping or attacking it point-blank. This will launch the player up in the air in a similar fashion to a rocket jump. While this carries the player an impressive distance, it is a highly damaging technique and often instantly kills weaker classes.
Using this technique with certain classes (such as the Scout) has been deemed useless by some members of the community, due to the amount of health that those classes have when not buffed by a Medic. This is because if a player is not killed by the blast itself, he/she will most likely die from the fall damage inflicted upon landing.
- The Soldier's damage resistance from the Gunboats apply to pumpkin jumps.
- The Soldier's Rocket Jumper and the Demoman's Sticky Jumper prevent taking damage from any self-triggered pumpkin bombs.
- When the Huntsman, Jarate or Mad Milk trigger an explosion of a pumpkin bomb, it is possible to damage teammates.
Exploding a Pumpkin
Any bullet, melee attack, or projectile may be used to explode a pumpkin (including Baseballs, thrown Jarate or Mad Milk), destroying the projectile used to detonate the pumpkin bomb. Fire however, will not trigger an explosion.

Bugs
- Having the Rocket Jumper or Sticky Jumper equipped will nullify the damage you would normally take if you shot the pumpkin, even if it hits someone else. You take damage normally if an enemy caused the explosion.
- Standing in a pumpkin bomb's location when it spawns will freeze the player in place, being able to escape only by detonating the pumpkin or dying.
