This page

Doesn't it mostly duplicate Weapons? I'd like the idea of a glossary page that would keep the lead section you wrote and link to Weapons, the Environmental death article and the Unused Kill icons article, but I think it's best if we leave off the large list though. seb26 [talk] 08:51, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

There's actually no place where all of the kill icons are categorized and described on the wiki. As you said, a lot of the information is spread out throughout, but not really organized in one place. This includes the deflected icons, backstabs, etc. Stuff that's not on Weapons. Plus this gives a nice list where one can see exactly which weapons are currently missing unique icons. Perhaps instead of "kill icon", the glossary could be moved to "List of kill icons" ? --Ten19 08:54, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
This page does not need to exist. We need to tighten up the number of pages with duplicate information. Kill icons don't need to be "categorized and described" either. I would also suggest that Unused Kill icons does not need to exist either. -- Pilk (talk) 15:12, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
I disagree, this page does need to exist. It's useful to have a reference list of all the kill icons in one place, it's easy enough to maintain as more are introduced. What if a new player wasn't sure what a kill icon meant? Where would he go on the wiki to check a list of them all to refer to? Also, we do not directly define what a kill icon is anywhere else, it's an important part of the game that shouldn't be overlooked. --Ten19 03:15, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Unused Spinal Tap icon

I'm 99% sure it was never used in-game, contrary to what the article states. Anyone got a source? – Smashman (talk)

It was never used in-game. And the article says that actually (albeit poorly worded). Basically it says that it used the ubersaw icon before the update, then used the ubersaw icon after the update. -- Psychopath User Psychopath avatar.png 02:27, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Really? It gives me the impression that the icon was used and then changed back for no reason. – Smashman (talk) 02:35, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
The impression is made due to the poor wording, but analyzing the wording suggests that it has always used the ubersaw icon (which it has). -- Psychopath User Psychopath avatar.png 02:37, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

A few arrow reflects missing

It looks like the page is currently lacking three icons: Image:Killicon deflect flaming arrow.png, Image:Killicon deflect flaming arrowhs.png, and the (unused?) version of Image:Killicon deflect arrowhs.png. Since I can't test this myself, I think someone who knows about whether they work should (a) upload the (unused?) version of "reflected arrow headshot" (which exists as an older version of deflect_arrowhs.png) and (b) put all three in the Pyro section or Unused section. Toomai Glittershine 17:38, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Excellent catch. The two flaming arrow deflects have been added, as has the currently-unused arrow headshot deflect. --Ten19 18:59, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Are those flaming-arrow-deflect icons actually used, or are they just in the files? —烏Γ (kaw at me), 19:00, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Hm, I could have sworn I've seen the flaming deflect icons in-game before. In a quick test with bots, a flaming deflect results in the normal huntsman icon. Going to get some live players to double check this. --Ten19 19:34, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Yep, you're right. The deflected flaming arrow icons aren't being used for some reason. Article adjusted accordingly. --Ten19 20:37, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Still using the Huntsman icons, as of this writing. --Ten19 05:08, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Sandman

I just wanted to point out that the Sandman has a unique kill icon now. That should probably be updated, as it shows the Bat on the page now. I'd do it myself, but I don't have access to the image. Clayfrd 23:23, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

The new version was uploaded (here) but the old version was stuck in the cache. After CTRl + F5ing the page it seems to work fine for me now. seb26 [talk] 23:44, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Ah, I see it now. Clayfrd 01:12, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
