Talk:Map Maker's Medallion
Angry
I usually love these contests. the one i dont enter would have given me a hammer medal.
Oh well theres always next time. M-NINJA 22:35, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- I demand a pencil-behind-ear misc. item for my contributions in the Hat Describing Contest! :) Anyway, lesson learned. I'll def. have to enter the next blog-sponsored contest. ::Scurve :: 23:01, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Wow someone on the wiki that entered the contest! This contest has to become official first. im waiting for more entries before sending it to valve. M-NINJA 22:28, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- Raging on the wiki won't get you anywhere. -- OluapPlayer (t) 23:04, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yes it will! It gets you on the Recent changes section. --Vaught 23:06, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Nope OluapPlayer is right, whenever i make a stupid post like this, i've been on the SPUF forums to much in that period of time. M-NINJA 22:31, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- Raging? And stupid? Sheesh. Kinda thought the smiley face would make the casualness of my remark obvious. Ah well. <333 ::Scurve :: 04:51, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Don't forget to increase your indents with another : at the end, my stupidity made this conversation confusing to me.
Kinda disappointed I didn't enter in the contest myself, I knew they would give a prize like this, but my laziness was like "I can't let you do that" Nixshadow 05:03, 14 November 2010 (UTC)- Cute idea, but really would only work with a couple of classes with defined ears... Wouldn't work so well on the pyro, demo, soldier, engineer, sniper or spy. Lord Ned 23:24, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

You all deserve a medal(s)?
ive seen the trivia section point to the forums about the hammer editor from the weapon replacement to the other neat hammer pictures, so should we do like a 4 square picture of each the entrees? (or has it been decided already?) Gamecrazy009 05:43, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Item Availability
Has there been any word on the availability of this item? I.e. has it been awarded yet, or should the article remain in its present tense? Esquilax 22:39, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- It's not even in the game files yet. —Moussekateer·talk 22:40, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Roger that, thanks. Just checkin'! Esquilax 23:12, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Deletion
Why do we have an article on an item that is a) Not in the game files b) Not officially confirmed by Valve c) Has been 'coming soon' for months now. Someone asked me why we don't have an article on the Pros VS Pubbers Medal and have one on this medal, and I couldn't explain why. Anyone? —Moussekateer·talk 14:05, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know how to answer that, but there's always the option of creating a Pros vs Pubbers medal article. For consistency. If I do recall correctly, the Polycount Pin was in the same boat that the Mapper's Medallion is in now: announced by whoever organized the event, not 100% confirmed by Valve, has an article. -- Psychopath 14:09, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- But we shouldn't be creating a Pros vs Pubbers medal article, because it's all hearsay and speculation. Same with this. The Polycount Pin shouldn't have had an article if it wasn't confirmed, that was an exception to the rule then. —Moussekateer·talk 14:13, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- I petition that we bug Nineaxis to get some hard evidence of the item's approval into TF2. That'll put an end to this discussion for sure. -- Psychopath 14:15, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
