The Hard Counter is a community-created cosmetic item for the Heavy. It is a team-colored umbrella hat, with brown ribs and the Heavy's class icon printed on it.

  • The Hard Counter was added to the game.

October 6, 2010 Patch

  • Paint affects the Hard Counter's color more, colors are less washed out.

February 28, 2011 Patch

Bugs

  • While the texture and backpack icon show two very different shades of red and blue, the colors in-game are barely noticeably different.

Trivia

  • "Hard Counter" is a term used mostly in online gaming that describes a skill, weapon, or equipment item that completely nullifies another.
  • The umbrella texture for the Rancho Relaxo is a modified version of the Hard Counter texture.
