    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.

Names of items and styles

Hello, Catmedic.

In the wiki, the names of items and styles are stored in the items dictionary. In the game's files, they can be found in the tf_language.txt files in the tf\resource folder.

If a name can be found in the localization files, but is missing from the dictionary, you can add them to the dictionary (it is highly recommended to edit the dictionaries by section, as editing the entire pages can - and has - crashed browsers) - just remember to follow the alphabetical order (the exception being EN, which always goes first).

Note that edits to the dictionary are not instantaneous; it takes a while for templates like {{item name}} to start translating the names. After editing the dictionary, give it some time, and things like infoboxes and styles tables should start displaying the translated names.

Cheers. - BrazilianNut (talk) 16:28, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
