Trivia edit
why did you edit that out, it wasnt wrong PikaWarrior1222 (talk) 16:08, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi there,
- The piece of Trivia is XofY trivia, which is not valid Trivia as you are comparing the % of players that have achieved said achievement to the other ones. This Trivia is also quick to be outdated, as other achievements can take that title away at any time. See the Trivia help guide for more information on what is and isn't Trivia.
GrampaSwood (talk) 16:12, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- ok, but maybe tell people things before deleting every edit they make. PikaWarrior1222 (talk) 16:13, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- I did, every undo has an edit summary that explains why the edit was undone.

you kinda being a dictator
PikaWarrior1222 (talk) 19:07, 25 May 2023 (UTC)i've got an honest question: do you have a life
- What's the point in being rude over a few simple edits? What you added was a baseless claim and directly goes against Valve's video policy.
GrampaSwood (talk) 19:09, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- PikaWarrior1222 (talk) 19:21, 25 May 2023 (UTC)no this is an honest question bc you are always online. like, is someone paying you or something? im genuinely curious
- I don't think that's any of your business.
GrampaSwood (talk) 19:25, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- I don't think that's any of your business.
- PikaWarrior1222 (talk) 19:29, 25 May 2023 (UTC) ok (also dude calm down)
- I'm not upset or anything at all, however, I suggest taking undos less personally and trying to learn from them instead of calling people dictators and asking them if they have a life. You may end up blocked for that kind of behaviour.

Mistaken page edit
Apologies for the "Anti-Scout strategies" page edits, I did not realise it was referring to the Classic TF2. Dule (talk) 14:47, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
- No worries, I get the confusion. An easy way to see if it's about TF Classic or TF2 is to see if the page has "(Classic)" in the name.

Wasn't Trying to start an edit war.Sorry!
HI,
I didn't know what an edit war was until a couple of hours ago; my main concern for the page was readability. I thank you for making the page more aligned with the wiki. I added some minor spacing that I thought you missed, if that's ok.

The template:sp
Hi there, I've made some slight changes on your template:
In general, when different numbers (from 0~2) are put into the template, the text will be different, too.
What's your opinion towards this change?
Draft space: User:BEUFK/Template:sp01
Sincerely,
--BEUFK - Contributions-Talk 10:19, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- It's more about the warning level/image, it doesn't necessarily need to have different text.
GrampaSwood (talk) 10:32, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- However, the Wikipedia uses different warning texts in different warning grades. Personally, It's quite useful to warn those users who keep on ignoring others' words

- Maybe a combination of those template is needed.--BEUFK - Contributions-Talk 11:59, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it's necessary, if they need more guidance a manual message is best.
GrampaSwood (talk) 12:03, 28 June 2023 (UTC)- OK, I will keep the draft in my userspace until the further instructions are given. Thanks for your patience!--BEUFK - Contributions-Talk 12:18, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

Self nomination.
- Hello Swood, I noticed some time ago that nomination for wiki caps had changed to function in the absence of nominators.
- A friend of mine suggested that I ask you about a potential self nomination, I do not know if I fit all factors for eligibility however when it comes to edits and such tho.
- Let me know your thoughts. and tips their hat Luno 🪐🌕 Talk / Contributions / Team 02:11, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- You unfortunately don't meet the minimum edit requirements, however, Thedop is an experienced editor and if he feels like you're worthy he can always nominate you.

Bots in Saxton Hale mode
According to the July 20, 2023 Patch, "TF_Bots now function in Versus Saxton Hale", which means that at the time I made this edit, I was correct. Obviously, I'm not anymore, but I was. Dogman15 (talk) 22:47, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- Okay.

Oops
You probably will need to fix the Saxton Hale health chart you made; for entry 25, I typoed 27000 as 29000. 27000 is the correct value and I have double-checked the rest of the values I entered to make sure there aren't any other errors. Probably a good thing you made that graph too, the weird spike that didn't match my chart made me check.
The chart in question is this one: https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/File:Saxton_Hale_health_chart.png

Page prioritization
Greetings, again. I'm almost done with the preliminary work on game terms, titles, etc., and theoretically I can start doing at least something next week.
I remember in the FAQ that I recommend that translators focus their attention on the "most important pages" to start with - the main menu, the most visited pages, etc. And leave rarely visited pages for the very end.
Is there a list, a table, a ranking of the most important/most visited pages so that I can create a guideline? Thanks.
--FIRUIN (talk) 08:51, 27 July 2023 (UTC) FIRUIN
- I don't think there is one list of most important pages. The Dutch translation page has one that I generally would recommend to people, that being weapons first (Stock weapons -> achievement reward weapons -> other weapons), cosmetic items second (I would start with the newest cosmetics first), major updates, maps, achievement pages, small updates, then from there it's whatever.
- Also do note that you should use the
tf_ukrainian.txt
to find all the translations possible rather than making your own. We've had some discussion in the Staff channel and we're not entirely sure yet where these translations should go.
| s | GrampaSwood (talk) 10:10, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, yes, I remember about the correspondence of the names, thanks for reminding me about the existence of this file, I almost forgot. Ha ha.
- There's a little problem with the last items because they're not translated yet, so I'll leave them for later.
- And as for posting them, I'll probably post them from my page like User:FIRUIN/Sсout/uk. This way I can show what I can do and, if necessary, they can be simply copied and pasted as the official translation of the page. At least I think so, I haven't quite figured out the technical part of this wiki yet.
- In any case, it's better to spend more time preparing to meet the relevant standards.

zh-hans translation for the chart.
The zh-hans translation for Saxton Hale health chart:
Saxton Hale health scaling ==> 萨克斯顿·霍尔生命值变化表
Saxton Hale's health ==> 萨克斯顿·霍尔(初始)生命值
Mercenaries ==> 玩家数量
--BEUFK - Contributions-Talk 03:37, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Done.

I just wanted to say, sorry, I didn't intend to add that image anyway to the article - not really sure why I did, maybe as a personal archive and to warm up to uploading in general. I apologize for the confusion.-- Akolyth (talk) 23:01, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- It's fine, don't worry about it. If you have any questions about uploading, feel free to ask them.

Undarker (talk) 13:36, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Hello, thanks for the information provided! I changed everything, now everything should be correct (view if you want).
idea
Hello again! I had an idea. Maybe together we will edit the information on the maps? About Reckoner, I don't know what else to write in the map description. Undarker (talk) 12:34, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not sure either, the Workshop description is a good placeholder but generally they tend to be biased and not adhere to the neutral POV that the Wiki is supposed to adhere to. For example, Phoenix's Workshop description was very biased towards it and seemed to make it out as one of the greatest maps to exist.

Add map photos and map overview to koth_product, please
https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Product_(competitive_custom_map) Slamm (talk) 04:08, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- Seems like it already had map photos. If you want to add an overview, you have to name your file "Product (competitive custom map) overview.png".

DYK translation
There is now a fact "...that some cosmetic hats and bot heads from Mann vs. Machine are available on the Steam community marketplace for SteamVR?" on the main page in DYK, which is not translated into Russian. I've been trying all day to figure out how to translate it, but I still can't figure it out. Can you help with this question? Maybe I should just add the Russian version of it to the facts list?
When trying to edit dyk-mp-96, I get redirected to Template:Dictionary/common_strings#Did_you_know..., but I don't have permission to edit it. — DanteDevil (talk) 17:17, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
