Your friends (enemies) will squeal with delight (be consumed with fire) when you cover them with sparkling rainbows (all consuming fire).
Rainblower publicity blurb

The Rainblower is a primary weapon for the Pyro. It appears as a series of four yellow horns and one silver horn with long, spiraling piping and a container of sparkly team-colored fluid. It sprays out a stream of colorful bubbles and rainbows.

This item may only be seen in-game by users who are in Pyroland. A Pyro with the Rainblower equipped is shown as having the Flame Thrower to players not in Pyroland, however, it shows up as the Rainblower in the deathcam. The Rainblower makes wind chime and bubbling sounds when fired. It also makes very light tinkling sounds when deployed but not fired.

Taunting with the Rainblower equipped results in the Armageddon kill taunt, igniting and potentially killing anyone in the area. Unlike other Pyroland-related items, players not in Pyroland also see this taunt, but with slight differences; for example, instead of blowing bubbles, the Pyro breathes fire. The damage halves for every player hit, making it possible to survive.

In combat, this weapon functions identically to the stock Flame Thrower.

Bugs

  • This weapon does not glow when crit boosted.
    • Furthermore, when crit boosted, the sound it makes is of the original flamethrower.
  • When in spectator mode and spectating a player with the Rainblower, the Rainblower shoots out the default particles from the Flame Thrower.
  • As with most other taunts, performing the Rainblower's taunt and being knocked into the air cancels the taunt, but not its animation. However, it also leaves the taunt's particle effects at the place the taunt was initially performed, though it does not damage enemies.
    • This also occurs if the player is killed during the taunt animation.
  • The flame particles for this weapon do not appear in DirectX 8.
  • The Rainblower can be inspected while being fired.
