Grammatical Errors
There are several grammatical errors in this article, and I've no way of fixing them. For example, the first tip on the page states "...jump in mid-air to change direction, and avoid enemy fire." While this holds true for gameplay, the comma between "direction" & "and" is unnecessary, and should be removed. Either that, or this is a direct quotation and Valve has horrible grammar issues. - I've just checked and your specific example is exactly how the tip appears in-game, comma and all.--Ten19 08:32, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, and I just saw this. Looks like things will be improving soon! Team_Fortress_Wiki:Tips_Revision — Ten19 [T|C] 09:08, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
Mistakes
I've noticed that several of these tips are actually incorrect (Like the flare gun one), should we just add a note afterwards stating that they're wrong, maybe highlight the tip in red or something? --Firestorm 19:31, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
The spy tip states that "As a Spy, if you're set on fire while cloaked, the enemy can see you and you cannot recloak!" this is inaccurate, as the spy can cloak while on fire, but remains visible for the duration of the burn.Zomnivore 02:42, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Edit notice
I think it would be a good idea to have an edit notice saying something along the lines of "Please remember that these are the actual in-game tips, so don't add your own." People have added their own tips or changed these tips multiple times. - LingoSalad (talk) 23:24, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
May 31st, 2011 Update
We should probably update these to coincide with the update that just came out today. Smashbrother101 01:08, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

They're sized very, very oddly. Someone outta iron them out. --SilverHammer 10:22, 23 July 2011 (PDT)
Control Point
This article mentions "Control Point", but poorly redirects it to a disambiguation page. Please adjust to aim at [[Control point (objective)|Control point]]. Darkid 17:45, 1 December 2011 (PST)
- On a similar note, this page mentions "Critical" but fails to direct it to Critical hits. Once again, if you please. The above occurs twice. This is not a change to the *text* of the page, merely to the inter-wiki links. Please, someone, fix this. ≥My two cents≤ 16:50, 28 January 2012 (PST)
March 22, 2012 Patch
Well, new tips were added in the March 22, 2012 Patch, and the page is protected. Can someone add the new ones please? GianAwesome 20:28, 22 March 2012 (PDT)

- The page is now unprotected. —Moussekateer·talk 18:52, 24 March 2012 (PDT)
Map tips
Can we add a section or an article that deals with map specific tips? I found some on Dustbowl for example --Avox 13:08, 6 April 2012 (PDT)
- I'm not aware of any map specific tips on the loading screens ingame? —Moussekateer·talk 13:27, 6 April 2012 (PDT)
- Oh dear, my fault! Sorry for that. --Avox 13:35, 6 April 2012 (PDT)
Jumping heavy explination
"As a Heavy, you don't lose momentum while spinning up your Minigun in the air. Use this to surprise enemies around corners!"
Should this be explained a little more like "with a running start..." or use while running:(space) then (mouse 1) and turn to enemies to attack? Just a little suggestion.

Should we mention that one of the tips is outdated?
I don't remember where I've read before regarding outdated tips, but this one "As a Scout, the Sandman's baseball cannot stun foes at close range, but it will completely stun an enemy at max range." is outdated, as it explains the old mechanics of the Sandman. Maybe a new section after Arena? - ▪ - 16:49, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- I suggest adding a symbol after it (Like that cross) and mentioning at the start of the page that it means a tip is outdated.

Mann vs. Machine tips?
Should we add tips from MVM? They appear when you lose a wave or when you visit an Upgrade Station. - ▪ - 14:17, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- Here are two pastebins featuring the two instances of tips on
tf_english.txt
(it looks like that the Upgrade Station tips differ from the Wave Lost tips, but I'm not sure): mvm_tips1.txt mvm_tips2.txt - ▪ - 14:27, 22 March 2020 (UTC)- Yes Sure, why not? Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 15:35, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
An image of a screenshot showing an official tip
Would it be any useful to add a screenshot that shows an official tip? At the top of the page as a thumbnail of course. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 03:55, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'd suggest adding a short tip as an example image, as it may result in a wide image on the side which looks bad.
