선물 포장지 는 선택한 아이템을 포장하는데 쓰는 도구로, 당신의 아이템을 상대에게 전달할 수 있습니다. 몇몇 교환 불가 아이템들은 포장해서 교환을 할 수 있죠. 선물 포장지는 Mann co. 매장에서 구입할 수 있고 #8 시리즈 보급상자에서 얻을 수 있습니다.
설명
선물 포장지로 물건을 상대방에게 주기 위한 선물로 봉인할 수 있으며 오프라인중인 상대에게도 전달할 수 있습니다. 교환 불가인 아이템들을 선물 포장지로 포장해서 선물로 포장하면 "조심스럽게 포장된 선물" 이 나올 것이며 한번 사용한 뒤에는 선물 포장지는 파괴됩니다.
선물이 열린 후, 선물 받은 아이템에는 누가 언제 주었는지 설명이 달립니다. 선물을 받은 사람은 그 물건의 선물 보내기 항목이 포장할 수 없음으로 바뀌기 때문에 다른 사람에게 선물할 수 없습니다.
보장 불가 아이템

A Carefully Wrapped Gift
- Prior to the October 29, 2010 Patch, using Gift Wrap on any item would make the item fully tradable (after a recipient opened the gift), regardless of its original trading capability. Another glitch fixed by this patch was the item's name not appearing correctly in the wrapped gift's description; it was stated to contain TF_WEAPON_BAT, regardless of what the Gift Wrap was used on.
- There was a rare glitch before the October 29, 2010 Patch where sometimes a player would receive two of the same gifted item. After the patch, any duplicate gifts that were unwrapped would remain, but if the gift remained wrapped after the patch it was removed.
- It is possible for the gift-wrappable property of an item to be lost further up the crafting chain. For example, crafting 18 non-tradable but gift-wrappable achievement weapons in the usual way results in non-tradable, non-gift-wrappable refined metal.
- The Carefully Wrapped Gift shares a similar model to the Secret Saxton, though sporting different wrapping paper and a description tag stamped with the TF2 logo.
