There are two sorts of men in this world: the sort with blood pouring out of a hole in their heads, and the sort holding the Ambassador.
Ambassador publicity blurb

The Ambassador is an unlockable secondary weapon for the Spy. It is a large-frame stylized revolver made of 3.6 kilograms (or 8 pounds) of steel[1] with a deep team-colored (red for RED, brown for BLU) rosewood grip, and an engraving of a reclining woman on the barrel. It has hollow point bullets loaded into the cylinder.

The Ambassador does 15% less damage, does not apply random critical hits, the critical hits and mini-crit damage are affected by distance falloff, and fires at a slower rate than the default Revolver. However, it has a quicker spread recovery compared to the Revolver and deals critical hits on a headshot. There is a short period after firing, indicated by an enlarged crosshair in the HUD, where the Ambassador has greatly decreased accuracy and cannot deal critical damage on a headshot, therefore it is most useful for those with steady aim. Headshots beyond 1200 Hammer units deal normal damage instead of a critical hit.

The Ambassador is automatically given to any player who obtains 5 Spy achievements.

  • The publicity blurb references the quote from the film "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly": "There are two types of people in this world, my friend. Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig."
  • The Ambassador was teased a day before it was revealed with 3 Spy achievements that mentioned the gun and its ability to headshot.
