The Towering Pillar of Hats is a headwear item for all classes. It appears as stack of 3 hats: a grey bowler, similar to the Spy's Backbiter's Billycock, a black top hat, similar to the Demoman's Scotsman's Stove Pipe, and a boater with a black ribbon, resembling the Sniper's Professional's Panama.
The hat description was written by Valve, but was also submitted, with an attribution [1], as an entry during the Hat Describing Contest.

Update history
- Fixed the Towering Pillar of Hats being included in the crafting of class-specific hats using class tokens.
- The "Fabricate Class Headgear" recipe no longer has a chance of creating all-class hats.
Trivia
- This hat and its description are references to the hidden Gentle Manne of Leisure page on the Classless Update.
- 'J.Axer's Dapper Topper', the item obtained from coming first in the Propaganda Contest, has an orange ribbon with the number '1' pinned to the top hat.
- The bottom hat is Backbiter's Billycock for the Spy, the middle one is Scotsman's Stove Pipe for the Demoman and the top one is Professional's Panama for the Sniper.
