Valve's Contribute! program gives users a chance to submit items and avatars to Valve, and have them considered for official use. Users are encouraged to submit models and icons (subject to certain guidelines) and receive a unique version of their item if it is chosen.
Contribute! Updates
The First Contribute! Update was released March 18, 2010, and included 12 new items.
The Second Contribute! Update was released May 20, 2010, and included 13 new items.
