User bio

This should NOT be used as a User bio module. That's not why it's here. It just causes unnecessary user images that they never categorise properly anyway. Also, we should really write up some User page rules and stick them in the editnotice for the User page. -- Smashman... (ts) 00:50, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Should I remove it from existing UPs? -Shine () 00:59, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Why don't we just create a seperate infobox for the users? Thunder 23:37, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
No, we don't need to spend time maintaining 2 separate templates. I don't really understand why Class bio can't be used on user pages, but I'm going to respect Smash's position on this. If you really must use class bio, subst it like this: {{subst:Class bio}}. The same goes for class infobox. seb26 [talk] 23:45, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

No, don't do that either. It just requires more images. It's optimized for use on Class pages only. -- Smashman... (ts) 23:50, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

meet the

Please add support for Russian pages "meet the" parameter. Because {{BASEPAGENAME}} generates English title of class. — everybody hates pyro. 16:07, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Pictogram tick.png Done. It now gets the proper class names from {{class name}}. seb26 [talk] 20:45, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Pyro and Medic...

...currently do not have Meet the Team videos. Can't we use other renders of the classes in similar situations as the classes that have had Meet the Team videos? ~ lhavelund (talkcontrib) 00:35, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

What about using renders from other Meet the Team videos? The Pyro shows up in Meet the Soldier and the Medic has a short role in Meet the Spy. Sure, they both die but there is bound to be something usable just before their gruesome demises. I agree that whaterver it is, something should be there. The silhouette and question mark are a little weird. It's not like we don't know who they are, they just don't have their own videos. -- User Alex2539 Sig.png -- 00:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
I made a Pyro render in Source Filmmaker I find pretty friggin' sweet, personally. I'm talking images like that. ~ lhavelund (talkcontrib) 00:49, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Remove the "Not for user pages" restriction

As seen above, the reason for this not to be used on user-pages is because users would upload additional user images - currently a lot of users upload user-images already, and we do a pretty good job at getting the incorrectly categorised ones sorted; so I don't think that reason is valid with the Wiki in the state it is today. Therefore I am opening up a discussion/vote to remove this restriction. -User RJackson Signature Colon DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.png 19:05, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram plus.png Support Your explanation sums it up well. There's no great reason why it shouldn't be allowed in user pages. - LingoSalad (talk) 22:55, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Pictogram minus.png Strong Oppose If a User version with the badge area as optional could be made, then that would be acceptable, however. – Smashman (talk) 00:45, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Pictogram comment.png Comment Actually we can just poot an if statement to check if it's a userpage and allow the user to pick an image. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 00:48, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
