The Scout on the new styles.

Styles are alternate versions of hats and miscellaneous items. Introduced in the Hatless Update on April 14, 2011, styles enable the player to alter the visual form of the hat at any time from the backpack menu. Styles applied to items do not affect the painted status or tradability of the item. Current styles that can be applied to items range from alterations to an item's painting scheme or using a separate model entirely.
