A bird seen in Dustbowl
Birds appear in 21 selected maps of Team Fortress 2. When a bird is shot, hit with a melee weapon, or touched by a player it explodes. The explosion causes no damage or knockback. Destroyed birds are restored when a round restarts.
There are 78 birds in total. A list of locations for the birds can be found here.
Their current purpose is unknown.

- Birds can be seen in the teaser Medic picture and the dove on the "Ubi Concordia, Ibi Victoria" achievement [1].
- A dropped Sandvich or Steak can set the birds off.
- Birds can be seen on one of the monitors behind the Administrator in the Meet the Director comic[2].
