Crushing the medics sack image

I tried crushing the image file size, but I don't know if I did it right. I got it down from 1.59mb to 378.3kb... I know mb is bigger then kb. But I don't know if I can replace the image or not with the crushed version or not. The transparency and pixels are the same in photoshop but I want to do this right.
