Het Bouwthema is een verzameling van bouwplaats-gebaaseerde voorwerpen, zoals materialen en modellen voor mappers om te gebruiken in hun custom maps. Het is samengesteld door een groep TF2Maps.net gebruikers en werd here gepubliceerd. Het Bouwthema en de map Hardhat werden in de januari 21, 2011 officiële TF2 blog post vermeld.

Er zijn 144 modellen en meer dan 74 materialen en overlays voor mappers om te gebruiken in hun maps.
