This page is for suggesting new tips to be added to the project, or changes to the tips already in the Final page. Tips here will be regularly reviewed and, if of sufficient quality, will be moved to the Final page; tips not of quality will be left for editors to improve.

Formatting

Changes

When suggesting changes to current tips, include the existing full line from Final page, and your modified line below - this allows for easy comparison of your changes and for easy replacement within Final page.

* "Tip_1_1" "As a Scout, jump while in mid-air to change direction and avoid enemy fire."
** "Tip_1_1" "As a Waffle, invent a Dispenser to shoot chickens on the moon."

New tips

For new tips, simply suggest the tip's text - not adhering to tf_english formatting - this will be implemented if a tip is accepted into Final page. Feedback on new tips, or changes to them, should be given on a new line below the tip. Sign tips and responses to tips to make it easier to keep track of changes.

** "As a Chicken, invent a Waffle to shoot Dispensers on the moon." ~~~~

Scout

Soldier

  • "As a Soldier, consider using your Shotgun against enemy Pyros that are reflecting your rockets back at you by using the compression blast. You will still be able to inflict damage, and the closer they are the faster they will need to react in order to successfully deflect your rockets!" - This tip is useful and should be mentioned, but it needs work. I'd love some suggestions on how to phrase this more effectively. --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 18:05, 3 November 2011 (PDT)
    • "As a Soldier, consider using your Shotgun against enemy Pyros that are reflecting your rockets." Seemples -RJ 08:58, 8 November 2011 (PST)
      • "Seemple" indeed! Is good. --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 15:03, 9 November 2011 (PST)

Pyro

Demoman

Heavy

  • "As a Heavy, eating the Buffalo Steak Sandvich will force you to use your melee weapon, but will increase your speed dramatically and cause your attacks to inflict mini-crits! Beware however, because any damage taken will also be mini-crits while the effect lasts." - I'm surprised that this one hasn't been mentioned. --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 18:05, 3 November 2011 (PDT)
    • Not sure how useful this is, it's just re-stating the item stats. Perhaps we could mention when my meat is useful (I have no idea when my meat is useful). -RJ 08:58, 8 November 2011 (PST)
      • Agreed, but the item isn't mentioned at all and, as mentioned, I would like to have at least one tip for every item. Hmm, perhaps we can scrap this one if we keep the Medieval tip. --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 15:03, 9 November 2011 (PST)

Medieval Mode

  • "As a Spy, remember that your Cloak works perfectly in Medieval Mode. Use it to get behind enemy lines and backstab long-distance threats to your team such as Snipers." - I'm not entirely happy with this, but I think that the point needs to be made that although guns and similar items do not work, the Spy's cloak does. --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 18:05, 3 November 2011 (PDT)
    • "As a Spy, your Cloak works in Medieval Mode. Use it to get behind enemy lines and eliminate long-distance threats to your team." -RJ 08:58, 8 November 2011 (PST)
      • Sounds good. --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 15:03, 9 November 2011 (PST)
  • "As a Heavy, equipping the Warrior's Spirit and using the Buffalo Steak Sandvich in Medieval Mode will provide you with a powerful advantage! Beware however, because any damage taken will be mini-crits and you will suffer a slight health reduction." --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 18:05, 3 November 2011 (PDT)
    • Why will it an advantage? -RJ 08:58, 8 November 2011 (PST)
      • Due to his slow speed, attempting to chase down an enemy as a Heavy is problematic at the best of times, especially when the player is restricted to using melee weapons. The ability to not only catch enemies and inflict consistent mini-crits (with an extra +25% damage) provides a significant advantage to Heavies in Medieval Mode. Otherwise, they end up chasing the faster classes fruitlessly, and then ending up with an arrow in the head ;). --- Killicon pumpkin.png Esquilax 15:03, 9 November 2011 (PST)
