Talk:Point and Shoot
Reference
Point and Shoot may rather be reference to a kind of game and/or play-style that is typical of older fantasy-based games. I don't think a camera makes much sense as a reference to the hat's name. Should it be changed? RetroBlue 18:19, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- Don't think so, pretty sure you're talking about "Point and Click". ^^ — Zhnigo 18:31, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- I'd guess that it's a reference to how the wizard in Trine (and probably Trine 2) shoots things by pointing at them with the mouse and clicking. —Wevah 19:04, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- Except he doesn't shoot. — Zhnigo 19:21, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- Surely, a wizard has some projectile spells in his arsenal. Kardia Munr 20:59, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- Well, him NOT having any projectiles is a sort of a runnig gag through the game, at least the first one. I seriously wonder why didn't the devs call this hat "Point and Click", it would've made much more sense. ^^ — Zhnigo 21:43, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- It's probably just some sort of joke at Valve that made them giggle with whoever developed Trine. Kardia Munr 23:17, 16 November 2011 (PST)
- You're right; he doesn't. My memory failed me! —Wevah 23:36, 16 November 2011 (PST)
