Summary

This event pits a pro 6v6 team against a team of nine community representatives playing as a Highlander team. This year, the pro team is Classic Mixup. I would like to pull together between two and six people to list as entrants to represent the Official TF Wiki. Up to three classes can be registered. For each registered class, two players (a main and an alternate/backup) MUST be nominated. Robin Walker will most likely also be representing as one of the nine players on our team.

Registration closes on Sunday, December 18, so we need to hurry and get this together. If you meet the requirements, especially if you're in North America, please volunteer to represent us! I will be entering us even if we only have two people.

The pro team, Classic Mixup, will most likely comprise the following:

  • harbleu: Medic
  • Platinum: Demoman
  • TLR: Soldier
  • relic: Soldier
  • dabes: Scout
  • enigma: Scout

Huge names in competitive TF2! The event will be heavily publicized and will be streamed live. A video will also be downloadable/streamable in the future. Let's represent the wiki in the public spotlight.

Eligibility

  • No player may have ever been registered in a competitive 6v6 league. That means no ESEA, CEVO, or TWL experience.
  • Highlander experience (e.g., UGC, ETF2L) is allowed but not required.
  • No VAC bans allowed, obviously.
  • Must have Mumble and a working microphone.
  • Must be able to commit to a set schedule for practice.
  • Must have good sportsmanship, be a team player, and bring a positive experience to the event.

Applications

Note: Players are chosen primarily based on location. You may not get picked, depending on the popularity of your desired class(es) and the number of entrants.

Epic Eric epiceric Brazil Leaderboard class medic.pngLeaderboard class soldier.pngLeaderboard class heavy.pngLeaderboard class engineer.png Probably joining as an alternate, since I don't really know if I'll be available to play on the match (depends much on the date).
Tturbo Tturbo Canada / North America East Coast (EST / GMT-5) Leaderboard class spy.pngLeaderboard class soldier.pngLeaderboard class medic.pngLeaderboard class pyro.png I'd be happy to help represent the wiki, if it's possible for me (goes well with my university hours). Just keep me posted on how it's gonna to work.
RedXM RedXM117 EST - US Northeast Leaderboard class soldier.pngLeaderboard class engineer.pngLeaderboard class scout.pngLeaderboard class sniper.png I've never done anything like this before. I would love to play in this and get my face out, as well as play against such amazing players. I am not sure that I will be able to make it, so if someone who can make it wants to be one of the classes I do, they can have priority.
TheHoboKing Masternovastorm US West Leaderboard class spy.pngLeaderboard class demoman.pngLeaderboard class pyro.png Never played competitively before. Always just tried to enjoy the game and not worry about it. This should be fun though :D
Skippy Skipperz Leaderboard class scout.pngLeaderboard class soldier.pngLeaderboard class pyro.png I haven't played any competitive leagues and would like to get in this. It sounds like fun and I will be able to make any practices that come up. I would be honored to be playing against pro team fortress 2 players. I would really like to see how good I really am.
kreafan kreafan RUS Leaderboard class pyro.pngLeaderboard class engineer.pngLeaderboard class sniper.pngLeaderboard class heavy.pngLeaderboard class medic.png I didn't play any 6vs6 competitive games, though was participating in the previous ETF2L Highlander. Also, I was playing the same thing this Spring (Pubs vs Pros). It would be good to repeat the fun we had then.

P.S. I'll be away during next ~7 days, so I hope the game will be later. Plus, I hope that the high ping won't be the big problem.

T-Wayne T-Wayne Central Europe (GMT+1) Leaderboard class heavy.pngLeaderboard class soldier.pngLeaderboard class medic.png I've got some experience from Highlander about competitive play, been playing every match there, yet no 6vs6-experience so far. I think the fun is most important here, while we try to win a match versus badass player and I hope i'll get nominated/picked for that match. Cheers.
The Director Terabyte terabyteuk Leaderboard class pyro.pngLeaderboard class medic.pngLeaderboard class heavy.png Played in the etf2l match with t-wayne, not played 6vs6 before, never done comp before this. Got mumble, always able to commit.
Limie Pie lapfox RUS Leaderboard class sniper.png(Huntsman)Leaderboard class pyro.pngLeaderboard class spy.png Want to try myself in some competitive game. I don't need Saxxy to beat some people up! Lime will shine all over Eq... the map!
Sven callmeSven US East Leaderboard class medic.pngLeaderboard class engineer.pngLeaderboard class pyro.png I played in the ETF2L Highlander Challenge as my team's Medic, and have since then gotten a better computer and new microphone (issues that plagued me back then). I have no 6v6 experience, barring one round of 6v6 several months ago on TF2Lobby. Just like back then, I'm in it for the fun, and I believe that a more competitive view of things could breathe some life back into the "TF2 Experience" for me.
