Gender

In the class suggestion area of the TF2 main menu (right upper corner) pyro is being referred to as "her".

Why don't you give her a shot?

I consider this to be quite a confirmation enough to say that pyro is a woman. I've been on a many month break from TF2, but I know about the speculation and weird evidence for and against pyro being a woman. I'll be editing the article accordingly. --Maska 16:28, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

It says he too. This is old. -- Smashman... (ts) 16:38, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
I actually think Pyro is a duck. -- En Ex 16:46, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh, ok. A nice move from Valve. -- Maska 17:38, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Indeed. Valve trolling us. :3 -- Smashman... (ts) 17:39, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

guy, says so in the game files globalactors { "demo" "male" "engineer" "male" "heavy" "male" "heavy_hwm" "male" "medic" "male" "pyro" "male" "scout" "male" "sniper" "male" "soldier" "male" "spy" "male" } source: scripts/global_actors.txt. If anything, it's just a little joke calling some men (like the pyro) ladiesSam-1-14 19:56, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

That may just be referring to the fact that the voice actor is male. Truly, I believe there is no definitive answer and Valve will never provide one. Just leave the page ambiguous and let the conspiracy theories fly. It's fun! --Firestorm  User Firestorm Nuke Sig.jpg 20:10, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Just make him a guy and move on Valve.God! CANPoo 02:43, 21 July 2010 (UTC)CANPoo

Airblast's basic tips

I know the basic tips section is off-limit, but I think it'd be appropriate adding the new airblast related tips. After all it's a vanilla feature.--Kid Of The Century 10:26, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Trivia on Gender

Should we add that Valve seems to "toy" with us on the Pyro's gender? As from many things I've seen, heard, and discovered it seems Valve is trying to mess with our heads. One example would be a Post by a Valve Member (Robin Walker?) talking about the Pyro. He uses "he" twice then using "she" followed later by "he" again. The "she" was removed and replaced with "he" soon after. Another more recent and noticable would be the Humiliation Standing animation. Danton 06:02, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
