The Balloonicorn is a cosmetic item for all classes. It is an inflatable, team-colored unicorn that floats behind the player. This item may only be seen in-game by users who are in Pyroland.
When equipped, players are able to see in Pyrovision; map textures are replaced with those of Pyroland, gibs and pickups are replaced with their counterparts from birthday mode, low-violence mode becomes active, other players' voices become high-pitched, and all players laugh when injured or killed.
When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that it gets the assist, with its custom name if it has one.
This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who purchased the Inflatable Balloonicorn from the Valve Store.

Trivia
- Before being officially added to the game, the Balloonicorn was hinted at in the comic A Smissmas Story, on page 1, hanging on the tree.
- As stated in its description as its occupation, an Ombudsman refers to a worker who is in charge of representing the interests of the general public, while a Municipal refers to a small town or urban district with a corporate status or department and an ability or power of self-jurisdication (in this case, referring to Pyroland).
