Talk:Instructor
Workshop version
As discussed a while ago on the IRC, the original name for this was seemingly just taken from a Workshop submission that was a silenced pistol. It has since changed to "Instructor", as it should have been based on the filenames. I've checked with a possible Workshop submission, whose names kind of line up with this one. It was simply called silenced_pistol
, and Valve may have added instructor to the end for their name, but imo it's not enough to definitively attribute this weapon to that Workshop submission.

- This is the same case for the Afterburner, since the model is similar to that of the workshop submission but the download link is on another website. Still, I still vote yes.

- There's not much to vote on here. This was just a conclusion from something User:Senko brought up in the IRC, the fact that this was mislabeled on the Unused content article. Only the name lines up as being "instructor", but the actual workshop model file was just called "silenced_pistol", which I don't find enough proof for this weapon and the Workshop submission to be definitively called one and the same.

- It's not really if they quickly tested out the model. There's no reason they change all of the file's names (including texture filename/material editing) just to see how it functions. Especially when Valve changed item names in the past too. There's not enough evidence to definitively say it's one or the other.
