File:User Mikado282 Mann Co's Shale Badlands in Capitol Reef NP.png
Summary
I have previously gone on about how the RED Dakota Sandstone (seen in lower right corner of this picture), abundant in the Badlands, is portrayed in TF2 maps. However, I have heretofore neglected BLU's geology, the BLU Hills Shale member of the Mann Co's Shale Formation. The BLU Hills Shale is, naturally, blue-tinted and is also abundant in the Badlands. The red Dakota coincidentally lies interbedded within the Mann Co's Shale, leading to alternations of red and blue coloration in the desert bluffs, as seen in this picture.
Again, I was TF2 before Gabe Newell ever was, literally. My grandpa's farm was on the slopes of the real BLU Hills Shale!
