I didn't nominate this article to be a featured article candidate but I think that it would be a fine option as it is pretty well done.MR SLIN 09:56, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Just skimming over the article, I can see some problems:
  • Use of 'your' at the top. This is the kiss of death on the wiki.
  • The majority of the trivia can be integrated into the rest of the article.
  • A reference section? Just stick it under further links.
  • Not sure that those are all the patches concerning the BB. Someone will need to check for more.

Other than that, it has potential. But unless the above problems are fixed it will not be a featured article.--Focusknock s 10:25, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Holding down activation is a bug?

Should I list this as a bug? You can hold down the fire button and hold the bugle to your mouth. The effect will not happy until you let go on the fire button. This applies to all banners Balladofwindfishes 01:44, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

If it applies to all banners, I think it's probably on purpose. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 01:47, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
All banners are just copy + pasted code from the Buff Banner, so if there's a glitch like this on the BB, it would apply to any derivative banner. Balladofwindfishes 01:49, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
The banner code has been around since the WAR, and if Valve hasn't 'fixed' it, it must be a feature, not a bug. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 01:50, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Like how it took Valve a year to fix the "feature" of the Sticky Jumper not using the right skin on BLU team, or any of the other "features" still left unfixed. Just because a glitch has been around for awhile doesn't mean it's not a bug Balladofwindfishes 01:53, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
You're calling it a glitch, without you knowing if it's intended or not. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 01:55, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Why would it be intended? o -o -- Babygirl User Babygirl avatar.png 01:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Maybe all glitches are intended Balladofwindfishes 01:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Holding down the banner lets you deploy it at just the right moment, which adds a lot of strategy to the weapon. It would make sense for it to be intended to be used that way. It's hardly a bug. I'd say a missing texture is a bug, not this. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 01:59, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Just because it's in the player's favor doesn't make it any less of a bug Balladofwindfishes 12:30, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Holding down the fire button primes the banner, then letting go uses it? That looks like an intentional feature; like Gigolo said, it allows you to use it at just the right moment. Though maybe they should alter it to act more like the Huntsman - alt-firing should allow you to fight again without using the banner. --Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 00:00, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Festive Variation Bug

Should it be noted that the Strange Festive variation of the Buff Banner only tracks banners deployed on official Valve servers as a bug? Yuurg 21:04, 30 December 2012 (PST)

Since nobody answered, I took the liberty of adding it myself, as well as removing the bug about kill assists, judging by the recent update.Yuurg 20:45, 8 January 2013 (PST)

Telefragging Filling Rage Not A Bug?

Is there any official source which states that this is entirely intentional rather than a bug? It sounds rather doubtful in my opinion. Green5 (talk) 02:10, 26 November 2014 (PST)

No official sources, however based on function wise of the Buff Banner, it should be filling even ON kill as you're doing the damage. Ashes (talk) 07:15, 25 November 2014 (PST)
If so, why are the Batallion's Backup and the Concheror not affected by telefragging? Or is it a matter of this information not added into their respective pages? Green5 (talk) 02:09, 26 November 2014 (PST)

Regarding the Image, not the Weapon itself

The rotations for the 3D combined Festive variants of the BB are off.

Really? Looks fine to me. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre 17:14, 9 January 2016 (PST)
No, it looks bad, actually. The "axis" isn't at the center, so it rotates incorrectly (axis is at center, but the model a bit more forward, this causes the model to rotate based on the axis, and since the model isn't on the center of the axis, it causes what's happening now), and the 3D image is a lot smaller than the default model (non-festive) User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 18:35, 9 January 2016 (PST)
