Hometown?

I see a conflict right now. The website info section for the Medic states he's from Stuttgart, Germany but the update page says he's from Rottenburg. I don't know how this conflict will be resolved but the two cities, if spelled correctly, are about a 95 mile drive from each other. What are we to do?

Not 95 miles but 35 (55 kilometers). That's just a 40 minutes trip. I think it's ok to say that Rottenburg is in the Stuttgart region. Not really a suburb but the cities are very close to each other. AgentBull (T · C) 09:59, 23 November 2013 (PST)

Stuttgart vs. Rottenburg

I believe this trivia bit is interesting, but clearly, some people disagree. "Some parts of Stuttgart Germany appear similar to Rottenburg. That being said, it is quite possible that they may in fact be the same place." I think it would be a good addition, so I want some feedback. GTAS1234 (talk) 20:28, 1 December 2013 (PST)

Sign translation

Hai, would it be worth adding pictures of all the signs and showing a translation of them? This may be interesting to non-German users... { TidB | t | c | wt } 08:35, 5 September 2014 (PDT)

If the signs have some sort of significance then sure. But if its just random text, don't think its needed. Ashes (talk) 08:36, 5 September 2014 (PDT)
Nah, they're not significant, just saying things like "Dairy". k then { TidB | t | c | wt } 08:39, 5 September 2014 (PDT)

Trivia verification

The trivia section says there is a hidden gate that leads to the bomb hatch, but I have not found it. I did notice there is a gate by the bomb hatch which might be half of it, but I could not find anyplace where the entrance might be. Plus, whoever added this literally did just that and hasn't done anything else, and the original edit had pretty poor grammar and uncommon use of CAPS for the wiki, which questions his or her actual knowledge of the map and, generally, the game as a whole. Is this legit or did the contributor happen to play on an edited version of the map where this was possible? --Shnowshner (talk) 17:05, 14 April 2015 (PDT)

I wondered about that. I assumed he meant the corridor between the grey doors, which is accessible only by noclip, that is, the supposed close exit is down the alley off to the left behind the second spawn and marked by a no entrance symbol. I have played the map only a few hours, but I never notice being flanked from that direction. I think a witness is in order if the comment is to stay. If it is false, by all means delete it, or at least the bit about the robots having access. If it is true, it is certainly not trivia though, and it should be moved to Rottenburg#Locations, which, BTW, someone should have filled in long ago. I'm not up to it just now, I don't know what people are naming the locations. I could guess, "palisade", "main gate", "clock tower", "pit", the low alley past the pit, ... there are more places, I can't name them, I would check community strategy. I see it now, only because it isn't hidden at all. Apparently he/she didn't know it is meant for tanks only, or simply figured robots could go through there. If they can, I'd have to see it. I'll remove the trivia. --Shnowshner (talk) 14:11, 16 April 2015 (PDT)
Hmmm...never thought of that (corridor is a tank path) even though it's obvious. Lost many times to a bomb in the hatch, but never played a wave where the tank made it much past the Gate House. Not mentioned in the Community Rottenburg strategy; should be though, even if it is obvious, especially if the Tank has any immunity while in the corridor. Let us know if you ever see bots go through there. Mikado282 (talk) 18:48, 16 April 2015 (PDT)

New Quote?

I found a rather good quote that could replace the quote from the Two Cities update page.

Slapping a robot!
The Medic, on his preferred method of robot destruction

Australium to gold shop.

So while browsing the map in a single player lobby I noticed a shop that reads: "Turns worthless Australium into priceless gold while you wait!" Could this sign have any indication of someone (possibly the Administrator) having presence in rottenburg trying to rob the citizens of their Australium?
