Here's the situation: I bought a Balloonicorn from the Mann co Store and painted it Grey (Old Moustache or something like that). Then i went on to rebuild some headgears, and crafted another random Balloonicorn (dat luck lol). I decided to paint that one Cream Spirit that I bought from the Mann Co store as well. I also bought name tgs to name one as my ponysona (the grey) and the other as AppleJack (The cream spirit one)

Now's the bug: It seems that on soldier (and some other classes as well like heavy), when i have the AppleJack equipped, it changes color to my grey Ponysona one. LeHarfang 16:33, 13 July 2012 (PDT)

:I don't think this is a bug pertaining exclusively to painted Balloonicorns. Indeed, this might be the fault of the item server. Occasionally, my Balloonicorn switches to random miscs, or doesn't even show up in on my class until I go check my loadout. After a second or two, it appears back in the slot I put it in my normal. Perhaps you're experiencing something similar.  16:39, 13 July 2012 (PDT)

::Yeah, it must be something like that, since my AJ Balloonicorn does'nt even show up behind my character in game, but does in the item menu. LeHarfang 15:55, 14 July 2012 (PDT)

Possible reference?
I know I'm going to sound like a broken record by saying this, but don't you think there might be a reference or two in this item's description? My gut instinct tells me there's at least 1 Charlie the Unicorn reference in there (I haven't seen the series in years) and that the mention of the unicorn being the Mayor of Pyroland might be a reference to the old TV show H.R. Pufnstuf. Can anyone else help clarify this/pitch in ideas? I'm not going to make any edits until I can confirm all references. If a player should have both the Balloonicorn and either the Alien Swarm Parasite or the Brainslug, and the Pyro get's an unassisted kill, which item is credited the assist? ~Sven~ 20:41, 29 June 2012 (PDT)

:Just tested this with the Brainslug, the Brainslug will ALWAYS be credited with the assist if you have both the Baloonicorn and The Brainslug equipped. Could anyone test this with any other items that are able to get assists in Pyroland? Shaiyal 08:59, 13 July 2012 (PDT)

Craft Balloonicorn
Does someone already know how to craft it? Please add to the article! Shuriken 06:03, 1 July 2012 (PDT)

:I think it just means you can get it from a random craft, such as the Fabricate Headgear recipe, with whatever recipe is used with misc items. --Enthers. (I find this work intriguing. How about yourself, sir?) 21:01, 1 July 2012 (PDT)

:: I had this confusion as well.  Seeing as it is mentioned as craftable there should probably be a section saying that it can be created with any recipe that gives misc. items.  That way people aren't looking for the section that they expect to be there. Kevincox 09:21, 23 November 2012 (PST)

::: I made a page here which lists these crafting recipes and the items that can be received from them - I've asked for it to be added to the availability section on pages such as Balloonicorn but haven't had a reply yet. It would help get the ball rolling if you added your support. == Is Baloonicorn a balloon, or a real unicorn? ==

I need clarification, because it is just a balloon, right? --Enthers. (I find this work intriguing. How about yourself, sir?) 21:16, 1 July 2012 (PDT)

:100% sure it's just a balloon, given that:

* Baloonicorn;

* In-game it works like just a balloon, as in, it does not have any fancy effect or particle whatsoever;

* Valve even sells a real-life replica (at store.valvesoftware.com) that comes with a code for this item.

::You forgot to sign your post. But in the context of the game, it sure acts like it's a real animal. Especially in Pyrovision and Meet the Pyro. --Enthers. (I find this work intriguing. How about yourself, sir?) 22:18, 1 July 2012 (PDT)

Ballonicorn Quote?
I couldn't help but notice there is no quote for ballonicirn, so I come bearing suggestions (i would do it myself, but I am fairly new, and don't know how to add audio files);

"Is-is anybody even payin' attention ta me?"

-The scout on Inflatable unicorns Stealing everyones Attention

"Thanks for the ride!"

-The scout on Unicorn Rides

"Hehey, I'm flyin'!"

-The scout on Unicorn Rides

  "Very good, very VERY good!

-The Heavy on Inflatable Unicorns

Custom names NOT in kill feed
User:Tofasttokill added this edit: (If you rename your Balloonicorn the kill assist will match the name of your Balloonicorn). I have not found this to be true, nor can I find any evidence of this during play, conversation with other players, reading forums, or watching YouTube. Tofasttokill has not made any other edits other then the one I referenced. Can anybody confirm that custom named Ballonicorns names DO show up in the kill feed?

Seeing Ballonicorns - without Pyrovision
Apparently, this is a bug.  Rainblowers sometimes too.  And I defintely DON'T have the pyrovision goggles or any Pyrovision-equipping items equipped.  Not a server mod, and I have heard of others experiencing the same thing.  But I'm not sure how to prove this.  Cranberry Jerk 21:43, 29 July 2012 (PDT)
