This is a complete listing of all achievements available in Team Fortress 2. There are currently 520 total achievements (479, excluding Milestones). For all statistics related to achievements, see TF2 statistics on Steam.
Achievements are in-game challenges and goals that allow players to be rewarded for specific actions while playing. Many achievements encourage players to learn particular TF2 gameplay techniques (e.g., Jumping), try new weapons (e.g., Back Scatter), or try new maps (e.g., Process). There are sets of general achievements, achievements for each class, achievements introduced in some Halloween Events, a single Christmas achievement, achievements associated with particular maps (Doomsday, Foundry, Process, Standin, Snakewater, and Powerhouse) or Game Modes (Mann vs. Machine and PASS Time), and achievements related to the Replay feature (TF2 In-Game Moviemaker).
When a player completes an achievement, a trophy image briefly appears over their head. An applause sound plays as the accomplishment is announced to all players in the server through the TF2 chat, except a Cloaked or Disguised Spy. When a player obtains a certain amount of achievements in a Class set, they additionally unlock a Milestone achievement that rewards them with an untradable achievement weapon.
Almost all achievements can be completed at any time in the game. The exceptions to this are a few achievements from the Halloween and Winter sets that require Event mechanisms rather than Holiday map functions. Additionally, Replay achievements that require Youtube views of uploaded Replays no longer function and now cannot be completed as intended.
Achievements cannot be earned in servers with the sv_cheats cvar set to 1.
As a means of encouraging players to explore features of Team Fortress 2, achievements were supplemented by Contracts in the 2015 Gun Mettle Update.

General achievements
There are 33 General achievements. For tips and strategies on how to complete these achievements, refer to the Obtaining General achievements page.
Class-specific General achievements do not count towards achievement milestones for that class (e.g. earning the Grey Matter achievement by obtaining 25 headshots as a Sniper does not count towards any of the Sniper milestones).
17 achievements formed the original set that was available when the game was launched. Additional General achievements were added in the following updates: 1 as a part of the 2011 RIFT promotion, 1 in the Hatless Update, 1 during the 2011 Summer Camp Sale, 4 in the Pyromania Update, 9 in the Love & War Update, and 2 in the Meet Your Match Update. The Standin achievements, Process achievements, Snakewater achievements, and Powerhouse achievements are grouped in Steam in General achievements, but are separated in the Team Fortress Wiki due to distinction of maps.

Bugs
- The progress of unobtained cumulative achievements is reset when a player resets their stats.
- The in-game achievement viewer lists the Process, Standin, Snakewater, and Powerhouse achievements as belonging to their own packs, but when viewed through Steam they are listed as belonging to the General achievement pack.
- The Escape the Heat achievement could be obtained by being a Pyro who is using a Detonator or Scorch Shot to light up themselves on a water surfaced area.
- The Jackpot! achievement counter does not increase when the player wins a round on a PASS Time map.
- The Party Crasher achievement counter can be increased by killing oneself while doing the Conga.
- The Riftwalker achievement could be obtained by killing an enemy after spawning rather than teleporting.
- The Ready for Duty achievement may not be awarded if a player has already completed Soldier training prior to the achievement's addition. To earn the achievement, the player needs to redo Soldier training, including the portion on Dustbowl.
- The The Great Deflate achievement counter can be increased by killing or triggering a feign death of a Spy disguised as a player with the Balloonicorn or Balloonicorpse equipped, whether the Spy himself has it equipped or not.
- The Master of Disguise achievement can be obtained as any class by getting autobalanced while being healed.
