October 24, 2024 Patch and BLU Scout pants
Assuming that the pants fix is permanent, should a text string template be made with default text for the undoubtedly countless instances in items, media, etc, where BLU Scout will have the old RED pants? I.e. "Since the October 24, 2024 Patch fixing a longstanding bug since release, the BLU Scout's pants are colored incorrectly"-- Akolyth (talk) 05:49, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think it's worth noting and it would get incredibly repetitive to put on basically everything. We don't note that any pre-Meet the Spy Sniper appearances are missing the cut on his cheek. The plan is to only note this on cosmetic items which clash with the new pants, but only doing so after the next 2 patches. This is to give time to the creators of the cosmetic items to actually fix it due to the out-of-the-BLU nature of the change. Of course this would be assuming that this patch is a reasonable time away and not this evening.

- You were right, I surrender. ( • ᴖ • 。) (Reverted, but I wonder if maybe Valve would ask the conflicting item creators to use that BLU workshop fix so they can do it again at some point.) is it true Valve can't edit community items without asking permission? And if so, is that just a courtesy or legal trouble?-- Akolyth (talk) 23:47, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- Per the SSA, Valve can modify accepted Workshop submissions in some cases. We can only speculate the details, but that's outside the scope of wiki talk. — Tark 03:38, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
