just something I thought I'd mention; you can survive the taunt while ubercharged (he takes no damage). of course, ubercharging a soldier using the equalizer is normally impossible, but using developer console commands alongside sv_cheats, its possible. i dont know if its worth adding, since its only possible using cheats. Mewizkuit 07:33, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, if it requires using cheats, it's not notable. It's like saying "Noclip allows a Spy to sap a Sentry from underneath the ground" --Firestorm 07:51, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Survivng Taunt - update
Both the Rocket Jumper and Gunboats had been changed to still kill the user of the Kamikaze taunt. However, since the Rocket Jumpers changes in the Dec22 patch, equipping both the Rocket jumper AND the Gunboats will still allow a player to survive it with no damage taken (apart from fall). I've edited the bugs section a little to reflect this. DarkQuill 13:32, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
This has been fixed in an undocumented change during the Jan3 2011 update, appare=ntly.
Repeating Trivia
Is it worth repeating trivia from the Equalizer page in the Kamikaze page? Is there a precedent set on this issue already? Squidfeeder 19:36, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Unaided Survival
Has anyone else survived the Kamikaze taunt without a Rocket Jumper or Gunboats? I killed someone with the grenade, survived, and got the achievement on an unaltered server. Does that happen regularly or did I just get a lucky glitch? The Seabear 23:09, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Conflicting facts
Update history mentions that overhealed soldiers can't survive anymore due to taunt causing 320 self damage. Trivia says it can be performed many times if overhealed. I assume the update history is correct but can't confirm. BASEBALLFURIES 11:20, 28 July 2011 (PDT)
Cupcake
Does anyone have a clue as to why the soldier says "c'mere cupcake" when performing this taunt? It makes no sense. If someone finds out, please add to trivia. K-Raider NL 09:26, 16 April 2012 (PDT)
- It's just a taunt - "cupcake" referring to someone on the enemy team. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 11:10, 16 April 2012 (PDT)
Battalion's Backup
The Battalion's Backup allows a Soldier to reach above 320 Health with overheal and its buff can reduce the self-damage to 207, allowing him to survive Kamikaze. --Straitjacket (talk) 04:24, 24 December 2013 (PST)

Kill credit anomaly?
Just a few minutes ago I faced an opposing Soldier using this taunt at my team spawn point. I realized what was happening and moved clear of the door. I took no damage when the Soldier exploded, and was well clear when it happened. The interesting thing is, the killfeed showed this:
I had dealt some damage to the Soldier around the time the killtaunt began, and I was a Soldier myself, but I did not even have an Equalizer or Escape Plan to equip, let alone equipped. (The funny thing is that this incident did give me the Spray of Defeat achievement, which also netted me Soldier Milestone 1--the achievement necessary to get my own Equalizer! But I digress.) I am not sure whether I damaged the soldier once the killtaunt started, but once I realized what was happening I backed off. I could not fire further once I'd retreated because my spawn door was blocking my shots. How common is this sort of oddity in the killfeed? MarsJenkar (talk) 22:23, 10 January 2016 (PST)
- Kamizake always appears in the killfeed even if the person doing the taunt missed. This is completely normal. -- Dr. Scaphandre 22:49, 10 January 2016 (PST)
I don't think this part doesn't work anymore. (With a "proof")
"The Soldier can avoid killing himself while still doing the taunt if he is somehow launched/knockbacked into the air with a sizable amount of health remaining. This will cause him to gain extra height, as if he was rocket jumping mid-air, while still maintaining his momentum and receiving reduced self-inflicted damage. All enemies unfortunate enough to come within the blast radius will still be gibbed."
As it says, the taunt doesn't stop mid-air.
But, I think it doesn't work as all knockbacks from every damage source that knockbacks player stop taunts. (That's what I know, but might be wrong. And that is why burning doesn't do that.) +I found someone (in the comment section) saying that there is the knockback threshold, therefore some weak forces not being able to stop taunt, and conga never stops until player manually stops, but they are not the point of this.)
Here is a proof I just got a few minutes ago, but tell me if it's not enough or there should be something more like explosives, airblasts, etc., but I think they are all rather same/similar. (Or, you can test it with your friends. I found taunting on high ground helped getting this proof a lot.)
Please tell me whether it's an outdated information and should be removed or not. Thank you so much.
Also, thanks Howtoplaytf2happy for helping me make this proof.
