Keep it up, you're doing good. But sometimes do not remove the bug that we didn't test after patch or at least if you tested, just put "Tested" at Summary Box. (like sleeves fix on Black Rose) Hinaomi (talk) • (contributions) 15:10, 15 February 2013 (PST)

How do you make your TF2 models?
I'm trying to learn how to edit models in TF2. What tools do you use, and how do I go about manipulating models? I know where to get models and how to view them, but how do I edit them? --Samuel Enthers 17:31, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
- Hm, I'm a tad confused about what kind of manipulating you mean. Are you referring to posing player models, editing textures of items for team colors/paint, physically editing the models of the game through a 3D modeling program, or some other process I haven't picked up on? Apologies for my misunderstanding. COBALT 18:35, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
- If you're asking about 3D Models, try asking Ragnar. Ashes 18:46, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
- I mean posing player models. --Samuel Enthers 18:57, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
- Ah, yes. To do that you simply need to open the player model, select the Sequence tab, click one of the boxes label "ref" and pick the taunt/animation you'd like from the dropdown list (taunts are located at the bottom of the list, by the way). Some of them are obscurely named, so feel free to poke around a bit to find the right one. You can use the slider at the bottom of the window to navigate through the frames of the animation. To pose the face, select the Flex tab and mess around with the sliders until the model conveys the emotion you deem fit. They're labeled more accurately than the taunts, don't worry. Happy posing. :) COBALT 19:21, 22 March 2013 (PDT)

Also, how do you add in hats and miscs? I really appreciate the help. --Samuel Enthers 21:07, 22 March 2013 (PDT)
- With the player model loaded, go to File > Load Weapon. Navigate through to [ROOT]\models\player\items, select the class the hat or misc is for, and play a quick game of "Guess and Check the File Name" until you find the right one. (They can be named some pretty weird names. If it helps, promos usually tend to have an abbreviation of their game in front. Also, This page has quite a few of the file names listed, if you get stuck) For all/multi class hats and miscs, open the all class folder under items and search for the item. Each will have the respective class's name after it. After you select the proper hat/misc, it will automatically attach itself properly to the player and move along with any poses you may give the character. This process also works with weapons, and if you wish to load more than one hat/misc/weapon at a time, This page describes how to do it. Good luck! COBALT 21:20, 22 March 2013 (PDT)

Hello there! My name is Dwizard and I am a new user to the TF2 wikipedia site. I would love to help contribute, the only problem now is that I don't know a darn thing in that guide and need a bit more help from a experienced user such as yourself, I will be on the IRC looking for you after today and tomorrow, if you aren't there I would appreciate it if you could send me a "talk" message on my profile stating when you are available. HLMV. Face emotions
Hello, can you help me with one question? I use TFMV and i don't know how make more realistic emotions, because there must configure everything manually - the position of the upper lip, lower lip, and so on. Is there any way to simplify this procedure? Max 324 (talk) 00:06, 10 January 2014 (PST)
- There is not a way to simplify this as far as I know, I can only suggest trying to get the hang of them through repeated use and experimentation. - COBALT 13:57, 10 January 2014 (PST)
- And how do you do facial emotions? In the original HLMV there are options for a particular animation or not?Max 324 (talk) 20:46, 10 January 2014 (PST)
- You can edit the facial flexing under the Flex tab in HLMV while a player model is loaded. Just move the appropriate sliders to change the flexing. - COBALT 07:09, 11 January 2014 (PST)
