− | :I'm not entirely sure, but based on the fact it uses the projectile hitbox makes me believe it can't know where the head's bullet hitbox is. I'm guessing it calculates headshots something like "if you hit anywhere in the top sixth of the hitbox then arrow in face", where "top sixth" would be some sort of coded measurement thought to be a good average.
