Door zijn geneesstraal te richten op teamgenoten (of een vijandige vermomde [[Spy/nl|Spy]]) kan de Medic de [[health/nl|Gezondheid]] van een speler blijven teruggeven. ==Overgenezen==
 
Een ''overgenezing'' betekent dat een spelers gezondheid van 100% naar maximaal 150% is gebracht. [[Medic/nl|Medics]] kunnen spelers overgenezen met hun [[Medigun/nl|Medigun]] of [[Kritzkrieg/nl|Kritzkrieg]]. Het kruis, dat de spelers gezondheid aangeeft, op de [[HUD/nl|HUD]] zal feller schijnen en groter worden. Hoe meer overgenezing, hoe feller en groter het kruis. Er zal een klein effect van teamgekleurde kruisjes om een geovergeneesde speler komen.
 
 
 
Een volle overgenezing zal weggaan in precies 20 seconden als de speler geen extra schade oploopt. Dit geld voor elke class. Zo zal een [[Heavy/nl|Heavys]] overgenezing (450) evensnel weggaan als die van een  [[Scout/nl|Scout]] (185). Het duurt langer om classen met meer gezondheid te overgenezen.
 
 
 
Mocht een overgenezings getal niet op een vijf uitkomen. (zoals 210, 185) zal de overgenezing naar beneden worden afgerond. (bijv. 175 -> 262.5 zal dus 260 worden).

==Non-Medic Healing==
 
* Most maps are also dotted with varying sizes of [[health]] pickups.
 
* The Resupply Lockers in spawns will grant a player full health.
 
* [[Dispenser]]s and Payload [[cart]]s will actively heal friendly players and Spies disguised as friendly players who stand near them.
 
* [[Heavies]] may also consume [[Sandvich]]es or [[Dalokohs Bar]]s to regain health, and can drop Sandviches for other players to use.
 
* [[Medic]]s wielding the [[Kritzkrieg]] can use its taunt to recover their own health.
 
* The [[Blutsauger]] will heal the Medic 3 hitpoints for every shot fired that hits an enemy.
 
* [[Demomen]] who decapitate an enemy using the [[Eyelander]] recover 15HP along with the increase to their max health.
 
* [[Scout]]s, and their allies, can regain health by damaging an opponent covered by [[Mad Milk]].
 
* [[Soldier]]s can heal 15 health per opponent hit with the [[Black Box]].
 
* [[Pyro]]s reflecting a rocket fired by the Black Box also regain 15 health if the rocket damages an opponent.
 
* Pyros who obtain a kill with the [[Powerjack]] out gain up to 75 health, and have the potential of overhealing, regardless of weapon used to kill.
 
* Scouts who equip the [[Candy Cane]] and manage to kill their opponent will receive a small medkit that they or their teammates can use.
