− | This thing has the potential to completely change the metagame. I sincerely hope it doesn't work on people that are already ubered. Grug 23:55, 14 December 2011 (PST)

− | : Hey, this sort of discussion about the game (rather than the wiki) would probably better suited for a forum like the official Steam User Forums. – <span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span> (talk·c) 23:57, 14 December 2011 (PST)

− | | |
− | I just realized that Pomson sounds similar to Thompson submachine gun, which by the way, is very famous for submachine gun and stuff. We don't know well about this item yet, but could there be any correlation? --<font color="Teal">Herr Queso</font> 12:07, 15 December 2011 (PST)
| |
− | :"Blasting out rapid-succession pulses of cross-spectrum electromagnetic radiation, the Pomson has been shown to dissolve an Egyptian pyramid in four archeologically educational weeks or one of the smaller, slightly crappier Mayan ones in just under a fortnight." the item's design/function seems to be based on automatic weaponry. so yes. HyenaDip 12:19, 15 December 2011 (PST)
| |
− | :I don't think it would be appropriate to note in the article unless you get confirmation from Greg Broadmore or the other folks at Weta Workshop. – <span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span> (talk·c) 12:23, 15 December 2011 (PST)
| |
− | ::Thanks HyenaDip for confirming it :) and uh no I wasn't really asking about "should I add this to trivia". I was just asking for possibility of coorelation. and yes I clearly know it's really early for adding this. --<font color="Teal">Herr Queso</font> 12:31, 15 December 2011 (PST)

− | The exact same model. The exact same weapon. I never finished it. Only thing it needed was a texture, and now it's officially in TF2. Whether Valve-made or contributed, I dunno, but it's there. Man oh man am I pissed. <small>— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Recurracy (talk) • (contribs) 08:13, 16 December 2011</small>
| |
− | :If it's any consolation, someone from Weta Workshop modeled it - I don't imagine they would even have been allowed to use a community-contributed one. Anyway, discussions like this are best kept on the forums. − | == TFC Railgun ==
| |
− | | |
− | When I first heard about this weapon It reminded me greatly of the TFC Railgun_(Classic) for the engineer, although the only aspects it retains are:
| |
− | *Is a non explosive projectile weapon
| |
− | *Doesn't use conventional ammo
| |
− | So the relation is slim at best.Nintyuk 09:52, 17 December 2011 (PST)

− | == Uber? ==
| |
− | | |
− | Does the drain effect work on an Ubered player? What about a medic that's currently using Kritz? I don't have the weapon and therefore cannot test it. If someone could infd out and add it to the page, I'd appreciate it. Grug 19:30, 17 December 2011 (PST)
| |
− | :Tested it against Uber and it does not drain. (Clarify: no sound of drain on the Engi side, do not have 1st person confirmation from the medic.) I have not had the opportunity to test against Kritz. It's a real game changer if you can ambush a medic just before he ubers...4 shots and he's got to rebuild half the charge again. --Random Chaos 21:48, 17 December 2011 (PST)

− | == Dead Ringer ==
| |
− | | |
− | If this hits a spy with the dead ringer out, does the drain happen after the cloak was activated by the damage, or does the drain prevent it due to the dead ringer no longer being fully charged? HyperionXV 04:06, 19 December 2011 (PST)
| |
− | : Have DR out, get hit with Pomson, DR triggered with 80% cloak left. I think this is what you're asking? SS2R 04:14, 19 December 2011 (PST)

I'll warn you: it's not exactly easy to get it perfect. – <span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span> (talk·c) 19:29, 20 December 2011 (PST)

− | == Picking up ==
| |
− | | |
− | Is it just me, or can you pick up buildings with this weapon?
| |
− | When I alt-fire with this weapon near my own building, I pick it up.
| |
− | So is picking up buildings possible with this weapon, even with the Eureka Effect?
| |
− | | |
− | PS: I dont have Eureka Effect.

− | :If you doesn't equip Eureka Effect, you can still move your buildings. Because can't move building effect is in Eureka Effect, not Pomson 6000. Hinaomi 07:05, 24 December 2011 (PST)

− | == Reduced Building Damage? ==
| |
− | | |
− | I know this is essentially a Righteous Bison reskin for the Engie with an added drain effect, but I was wondering if it also kept the hihgly reduced damage to buildings attribute. How much damage is done to buildings with this weapon per mini-hit? Is it the same as to players, or different? Thanks. - Kanosea 13:35, 9 January 2012 (PST)
| |
− | : I think same as Bison. Hinaomi 16:23, 9 January 2012 (PST)
| |
− | ::Surely something as important as reduced building damage would be listed in the stats - I'll test it next time I'm in-game. » <span style="color:red">Coo</span><span style ="color:gray">per</span><span style ="color:blue"> Kid</span> <small>(blether) • (contreebs)</small> 16:34, 9 January 2012 (PST)
| |
− | ::: After testing this myself, I have determined that the 80% damage reduction to buildings does indeed apply to the Pomson. It took me 19-21 shots to destroy a level 1 Dispenser at point blank range. This weapon can still penetrate buildings, however, and kill any Engineers that might be hiding behind them with normal damage. - Kanosea 11:27, 11 January 2012 (PST)
