The main page says "purchase only" but also that it's tradable?  Is that an error, or is it actually tradeable?

* Correct.  I've purchased one myself, traded it to another account, then wrapped up an item and delivered it back to my own account.  The original item you get from the store can be traded.  The packaged gift (if I remember) cannot be traded; it must be activated (like a Paint or Name Tag) to deliver it to someone.RukiTanuki 16:10, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Gifting process
Right now, the wiki reads "After the gift is opened, the gifted item will have a descriptive 'tag' telling you who sent the gift and when you received it." I think this can be made more useful.

I propose that we expand it that so it'll be more informative. I was thinking, "After buying the gift wrap from the Mann Co store, you can use it with any item from your backpack, including untradeables. This will create a (gift? I have no idea what it looks like). You then select a player to send the gift to. The gifted player can select the gift and click on "use with" to receive his gift. After the gift is opened, the gifted item will have a descriptive 'tag' telling you who sent the gift and when you received it. In addition, any untradeable items will become tradeable when gifted."

I would have added the above, but I don't have first hand experience with it. All the above information were gained from the forums and in-game chats.

Gift Wrap-able or Gift-Wrappable?
Both are used on this page, which one would be grammatically correct? I am inclined to think gift wrappable is correct, but I'm not sure.

New Quote Suggestion
While I agree that the current quote from the Scout quite readily fits the Gift Wrap, I did get a good chuckle out of this line from the Soldier: *  Wasn't sure if I should make this a serious suggestion or not, just thought I'd throw it out to see if others agree. --Fragment of Nothing 18:56, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Wiki Cap
Err the Wiki Cap isn't mentioned at all. It's true that the Community Weapons are being spoken of, but hats aren't weapons. Soo should it be renamed to Community Items instead of Weapons or add the Wiki Cap near the other non gift-able items? Vulturas 11:45, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

YO DAWG, WE HEARD YOU LIKE GIFTS, SO WE PUT A GIFT IN YO GIFT SO YOU CAN GIFT WHILE YOU GIFT.

:Sir, please talk like that on the steam forums. there it is acceptable. On topic, most likely seeing how it is "giftable". -= <font color="Blue">M-NINJA</font> =- 21:33, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Mann Co. Cap
The page for the Mann Co. Cap states that it is not giftable, but it isn't included on the list here.  Is this a mistake? --Fragment of Nothing 20:29, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Regifting?
If you receive a gift and have a tradeable item that says "Gifted by [whomever]," can you re-place that item in gift wrap and send it to someone else? If you do, will it say "Gifted by [your name]" instead of the other person's name? - GAMEchief 13:47, 10 September 2011 (PDT)

*I can confirm for a fact you can do this. I did this with my unusual trilby because I didn't like the gifted text that was originally on it. Additional question. If the person who gifts an item changes their name, does the gifted text change or is it locked into the name at the time of the gifting? == Black Rose Knife untradable ==

Gave a guy a gift-wrap for his Spy Knife, the Black Rose, but it wouldn't work on the item. This may be an oversight and fixed later on down the line, like the majority of other achievement-related items.
