Death Run is a Saxton Hale mod, in which the Red team must traverse a course filled with traps. The blue team, which is usually comprised of one player, is separated from the red team and given various buttons to press in order to activate the traps and kill the Red team. Each map ends differently, button the common finale of each map is disarming Hale, and humiliating him in some way. Another ending for several maps is a mini-game, which can vary from standing on a color to avoiding platforms that break beneath you. There is generally also a insta-win option for players who wish not to waste time of fallen teammates waiting to play again.

Gameplay
At the start of the round Red team and Blu team are separated from each other usually by a one way mirror in which Blu can see Red but not the other way around. Blu team's objective is to hit various buttons in a path to activate deadly traps for the Red team.
Tips
- Be wary of normal looking walking areas, in many maps the floor can break beneath you without Hale's doing
- Experienced players will tell you, that faking like you are going to run through the trap can have much success
- Note that Experienced players know of these tricks and are waiting for the slightest mistake.
- A Medic can utilize a uber to save a teammate from crushing traps, but crushing traps only, other traps such as poisonous gay will still damage you through the uber
- Note that on several maps, there is a time limit in which you have to proceed through the course. Depending on the map a entity will approach from behind and on contact kill you.
