Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31st of every year. Although influences are strongest in North America, Halloween is celebrated around the world.
In the days coming up to Halloween Valve release a patch along with an annual event in Team Fortress 2, which has been held since 2009. It is the first time Valve has incorporated a holiday-theme into Team Fortress 2, and it follows a loose connection to the history of the Team Fortress 2 universe, most notably in connection to the Mann Family.
The Terrifying Team Fortress Haunted Hallowe'en Special
Released October 29, 2009, the Haunted Hallowe'en Special was the first holiday-specific patch and event in Team Fortress 2.
