Catch-Up is a comic that was released on May 2, 2014. Narrated by Saxton Hale in the year 1972, it recounts the storyline of the Team Fortress universe published to date, being published between the release of Team Fortress Comics Issue #3 A Cold Day in Hell, which had just introduced the portrayal of the Team Fortress Classic team, and Issue #4 Blood in the Water. As a "catch up issue", the narration summaries the backstory of the several comics that preceded the recent series, generally explaining the reasons why the RED and BLU mercenaries are fighting each other in the Gravel War (most of the game maps). However, it does not go on into the Robot War or following events. Certain story elements have been retconned.[which?]
