Medieval Mode is a mode added to TF2 with the Australian Christmas update.
All text chat is modified to sound like "Olde English". Examples of this include adding words such as "Anon!" or "Milady" at the end of sentences and changing words such as "won't" to "shall not" or "lol" to "lolery".
Players drop small medkits instead of weapons upon death.
Allowed Weapons
- All Melee weapons.
- Chargin' Targe
- Buff Banner & Battalion's Backup
- Bonk, Crit-a-Cola and Mad Milk
- Huntsman
- Razorback & Danger Shield (but not Jarate)
- All Heavy lunch items
- Crusader's Crossbow
- All Spy Watches
Maps
The Medieval Mode is currently only available by default on the map cp_degrootkeep. It can be enabled on any other map with the server variable tf_medieval set to 1.
