The intent for Pharah's Hover Jet fuel adjustments is to find a balance where it enables her to maintain an altitude reasonably well with careful fuel and cooldown management, but not so easily climb to the extreme heights some map ceilings allow for as it can lead to "less interactive gameplay".
Meteorological phenomenon

Fareeha Amari (فاريها عماري, see the IPA for Arabic), best know as Pharah, is totally not a crazed, jingoistic patriot. Of course not. She is just patriot and security chief from Egypt. Tough and well-armed, she is kinda versatile, capable of both offense and offense, maybe, and totally not a great starter "class" to get familiar with the game, as currently the best "classes" for damage are hitscan.

Well-balanced (if you are hitscan) and possessing both survivability with a pocket Mercy and mobility, Pharah is considered one of the less flexible "classes" in that game. Despite his low ground movement speed, she is capable of using her Jump Jets to reach height quickly. His kinda large health pool is 200, and her wide team allows her to bring her weapon, and her pocket Mercy.

Pharah is well known for her extremely and spectacular ability of pressing one button. In obedience of all good sense and judgment, Pharah can use her Hover Jets to launch herself skyward at the cost of all the gasoline of her country (which can't be amplied). This ability allows Pharah to navigate the battlefield by air, appear from expected places if you play the game, and reach areas off-limits even to the Genji's dash, as half the roaster. Pharah's time airborne from a combination of using the Hover Jets and the Jump Jets can be undefined, but it's usually 6 seconds.

Pharah is voiced by Pharah. Well, is voiced by her mouth. And her vocal cords. And her lungs. And... you get the idea.

Basic strategy

  • You can't rocket jump. Well, actually you can, but it isn't better to press just one button? Press ⇧ Shift to great heights by pressing ⇧ Shift.
  • Crouching and jumping simultaneously while aiming at the ground... is too confusing for new players. Press ⇧ Shift. You can propel you farther at the cost of 40 of self-damage and getting exposed to hitscans.
  • Aim rockets at enemy's feet to ensure they can't receive enough damage to die just to be 0.05 meters away from the center of the explosion. Yes. Do direct hits.
  • Make sure you keep your Rocket Launcher loaded. Hit R to reload it at any time.
  • Press X to call for a healer if you get hurt. Healers probably won't be notified of your need as they already left the voice chat.
