Fareeha Amari (فاريها عماري, see IPA for Arabic), best know as Pharah, is a patriot, human and security chief from Egypt. Tough and well-armed, she is versatile against players that don't look upward, and totally not a great starter "class" to get familiar with the game.
Well-balanced and possessing both survivability (with a pocket Mercy) and mobility, Pharah is considered one of the more situational heroes in Team Fortress 2. Despite his low ground movement speed, she is capable of using her Jump Jets and Hover Jets to reach height quickly.
Pharah is well known for her extremely and spectacular ability of pressing one button. In obedience of all good sense and judgment, Pharah can use her Hover Jets to launch herself skyward at the cost of gasoline. This ability allows Pharah to navigate the battlefield by air, appear from expected places, and reach areas off-limits even to Engineers. Pharah's time airborne with a combination of using the Hover Jets and the Jump Jets can be undefined, but it's usually 7.5 seconds.
Pharah is voiced by her vocal cords.

Basic strategy
- You can't rocket jump. Well, actually you can, but it isn't better to press just one button? Press SPACE to great heights slowly.
- Try to keep your health above 0!
- Crouching and jumping simultaneously while aiming at the ground... is too confusing for new players. Press ⇧ Shift to great heights quickly. You can propel you farther by shooting yourself a rocket, at the cost of 40 of self-damage.
- You will often aim rockets at enemy's feet, as people have legs.
- Make sure you keep your Rocket Launcher loaded. Hit R to reload it at any time.
- Press X to call for a healer if you get hurt. Healers probably won't be notified of your need as they already left the voice chat.

Update history
- [Undocumented] Added a Pharah model in Harvest Event.
- [Undocumented] Added Pharah as the tenth class.
Bugs
- The presentation of the demonstration of Pharah on the Official TF Wiki channel has a lot of visual glitches that, rather than ruining the graphics, improves them. This is clearly noted in the shaders, illumination and some problems with the models of the Pyro, Soldier, Medic, Scout and Sniper.
- The classes used also have an increased pitch compared to their voices in the game due to audio glitches.
- The map used for the demonstration (Borneo) looks very different compared to the map used in the game.
- The HUD used in the demonstration video isn't the used one for all the demonstration videos. Instead, it uses a custom HUD called "Overwatch HUD"
- The target, for some unknown reason, screams when receiving a shot, and has health.
Trivia
- Pharah's idea comes from a post on the Steam forums, complaining about the difficulty of the Soldier.[citation needed]
- A scrapped Merasmus response says that he used the same magic for the Scattergun and the Stickybomb Launcher, weapons notably erroneous with reloading their ammo, to explain where the gasoline comes from.
- Pharah's model was originally added in Harvest Event underneath the "tomb of the 10th class" on May 31, 2016 Patch.
