Classes which excel at beating Engineers
Demoman
- Main advantage: Engineer's deadliest tool is his Sentry Gun, a machine capable of quickly slaughtering anyone who enters its sights. Because of this fact, the preferable way of dealing with enemy Sentries is to try and destroy them; without exposing one's self to them. Or in other words, its best to attack a Sentry Gun in a way where the attacker is bound to receive little to no damage from it. Duo to this optional method of fighting a Sentry, explosives have become the best tools in destroying it; as they deal splash damage which can be used to engage a target without requiring direct line of sight. Luckily for the Demoman, he is completely filled with explosives: His primary fires explosives projectiles, his secondary weapons does too and even one of his melee weapons is an explosive grenade (The Ullapool Caber). Because of his abundance of explosives, (Which are the best weapons for fighting Sentry Guns), the Demoman is superb when it comes to beating Engineers.
- Strategy: There are multiple ways to bring down a Sentry nest, and depending on the situation, an experienced Demoman will utilize each method of destruction when necessary.
- Corner Peeking: This strategy can be used by any class which has a burst damage weapon, including a Demoman. It basically involves hiding behind corner, popping out of said corner when ready, taking a few shots at the Sentry, quickly retreating back behind cover before the Sentry swings around to target you, or holds you in its sights long enough to do significant damage.
- Out-ranging: This strategy is about going outside the Sentry Gun's range (1100 Hammer Units), and shooting it while it can't target/see you. Once again, this method can be employed by almost any other class, but it can be particularly well utilized by a Demoman; who's main weapons don't suffer from damage fall off unlike many others do. Because of this, a skilled Demo can transform himself into a long range artillery, one whose [[Projectiles|projectiles don't lose lethality over large distances.
- Stacking: This technique can be executed using by using the Stickybomb Laucher, a Demoman's secondary. This way of destroying Sentries revolves around using the aforementioned weapon to place multiple Stickyboms just below the Sentry Gun. Then when two or more Stickies have been placed, the Demoman will detonate them in order to destroy the Sentry in one blow, leaving the Engineer no time to save his precious machine.
- Lobbing: A peculiar aspect of Demo's weapons is the fact that all of them have a projectile arch, meaning that the projectiles they fire curve to the ground–as they follow gravity. This mechanic can be used by the Demoman who can "lob" his Grenades/Stickies over hills, cliffs, walls and other obstacles in order for them to fal right on top of a unsuspecting Sentry nest. This way, a Demo won't require direct line of sight to the Sentry to target it, while he can still damage it.
- Optimal loadout: The stock loadout is already quit good when dealing with Sentry nests, but it can be improved by equipping: Loch-n-Load as your primary, Stickybomb Laucher or the Quickiebomb Launcher as your secondary, and any kind of an melee except the Pain Train
- Loch-n-Load: The Loch-n-Load is good against Sentry Guns specifically because one simple reason, it deals 20% to buildings. With the added bonus of 20% more damage, you will now do 120 damage to Sentries and other Engineer's mechanical structures, allowing you to two-shot them. This is quite important, since being granted the power two wipe even a level 3 Sentry of the face of the Earth in just two clean shots, shortens the amount of time an Engineer has to repair his Sentry Gun before it gets taken down.
- Stickybomb Launcher/Quickiebomb Launcher: Both of these two weapons have their own uses. Stickybomb launcher is an overall good weapon with decent damage and capabilities. The Quickiebomb Launcher is a bit more situational, due to its bonus of faster charge rate, it can be used in more open maps where you get more opportunities to spam out Engineer's buildings from outside of his range.
- Eyelander: While the Eyelander at first will cause you to be at a disadvantage due to lowered health, if you gain 2+ Heads, your health will become greater than that of your normal health amount, allowing you to absorb a bit more damage from the Sentry Gun, which could make or break your chances of survival. However, don't actually try to use the melee on your sentry unless you are in a truly desperate situation. If you are forced into melee with a Sentry, stand on top of it and move in a circular pattern, which will cause the sentry to have a difficult time tracking you.

Spy
Pyro
Pyro is obviously the best class at dealing with spy.
Demoman
solely up here due to demoknight absolutely annhilating spy
Classes which are mediocre at fighting Spies
Soldier
blast radius, usually moving and airborne so hard to hit
Scout
very fast, too fast to backstab btw, mad milk, bleed weapons,
Classes which are relatively incapable of dealing with Spies
Sniper
despite being pretty hard countered, gets a wide variety of weapons that deter spies, such as: Classic, Huntsman, Razorback, Jarate, Tribalman's Shiv, Bushwacka. Also, SMG's can be used to sweep an area for invisible spies.
Heavy
Slow, but high fire rate means hard for spy to hide usually not focused on spycheck tho
Classes which are immensely inefficient at battling with Spies
Medic
definitely not good at dealing with spy
Engineer
engineer is NOT good at dealing with Spy
Spy
It is not Spy's job to deal with each other. You're not killing the spy most likely, but they probably aren't killing you
