Hammer unit, often abbreviated as HU, is the unit of length measurement used by Valve's Source Engine games.
The scale used for Source game is based on the Imperial Foot, so Metric measurements do not translate easily.
Ratios to Foot
- Maps, architecture and prop models: 1 foot = 16 HU. This ratio is used to judge the speed of projectiles and players.
