Hi there. I saw you uploaded a demonstration thumbnail, and it looks alright, however I just wanted to point out some of the HLMV stuff related to it.<br>- It seems like there's no anti-aliasing which leads to jagged edges which don't look so good. Hello, Oposshim!
Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Oposshim to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Oposshim/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Traingrid translation
Hi there,
How did you get the translations for Russian? It seems from your profile you are not from Russia or a Russian-speaking country.

- Cheers again a thousand times over for telling me how this tab works, Anyways. I scouted for outside assistance from varying populated coder discords yesterday, Finding a few to help copy over. Also just quickly running through google translate to make sure I'm not being had in accidentally saying something offensive. Did I make an oversight? Oposshim (talk) 16:52, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- Based on 2 users' evaluation they're automatic translation tool level translations, which is not allowed on the wiki. There's no need to update for languages you don't speak, in the most cases that people have tried this it has turned out badly.

Missing Item icons.
Hi. A lot of cosmetic names had their names updated in patches, mostly fixing uppercased letters where they shouldn't be, an example being the Melody of Misery you just uploaded. Before uploading a file, make sure the Item icon already exists by typing "File:Item icon " on the search bar, and then the name of the cosmetic. The Melody of Misery was originally known as Melody Of Misery, with an uppercase "O". From now on, please request a move on the already uploaded page (in this case, File:Item icon Melody Of Misery.png), by using the template {{move|ReasonGoesHere}}
Example: {{move|The name for the cosmetic item has been changed in the March 2, 2021 Patch, the file name should be renamed accordingly to "[[:File:Item icon Melody of Misery.png]]"}}
Add a bracket (":") before the "File:" so the image doesn't show up in the actual page.
The Item icon pages has a different angle style than the Backpack ones, and... they also have a different image size (being 512x384 and not 512x512 like backpack images). Regardless, thank you for fixing red links around the Wiki, but make sure to check if these images already exist in the Wiki, if so, request for moves instead of uploading them again, because some of them have different angles than the Backpack ones. - ▪ - 00:29, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- I forgot to mention, because I completely forgot this was a thing on the Wiki, but you can move a page yourself by using the "More" -> "Move" tab on the top of the file page. This will move the file to the new filename, while keeping a redirect to the old one (meaning that pages who still use the "Melody Of Misery" filename will show the image properly as that page is now a redirect to the new one "Melody of Misery"). Some templates still use the original cosmetic's name (see Template:Cosmetic craftability list still using Melody Of Misery), so it's important to keep this redirect intact (by moving the page to a new name, or in this case, moving a file/image to a new filename, a redirect is created automatically). - ▪ - 00:41, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- You can also create your own file redirect instead of uploading a new file, or moving the old icon. To do that, enter
File:Item icon
followed by the file name you'd like to have redirected, in this case,File:Item icon Melody of Misery.png
, into the search bar. It should then ask if you want to create the page. Do so, but instead of uploading an image, type in#REDIRECT [[:File:]]
and add the existing item icon's file name after the second colon. Having the first colon there is very important for redirects, do not forget it. After saving the redirect page, both variants of the item's name will display the same icon. — 10:47, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

Demonstration Thumbnail
Hi there. I saw you uploaded a demonstration thumbnail, and it looks alright, however I just wanted to point out some of the HLMV stuff related to it.
- It seems like there's no anti-aliasing which leads to jagged edges which don't look so good. You can fix this by downloading a pre-configured dxsupport.cfg which you place inside the bin folder. Another way to fix it if that doesn't work is to download HLMV++, which will automatically fix the dxsupport.cfg. You can learn how to install HLMV++ here.
- Another thing is that it appears like you are using the normal Scout model instead of the HWM/SFM model. The normal model is worse than the HWM/SFM model as the mouth/facial flex appears worse compared to the HWM/SFM model. You can find the HWM/SFM model in "models/player/hwm".
- One last thing is that Scout appears a bit tilted, you can move your mouse on the side of the screen in HLMV to tilt it to a more normal and not slanted rotation.
