If you want to ask me or discuss anything with me, feel free to post it below! Oh, and please don't use bold, because I'll use it to answer you if I need to.
Hello
Hello, whilst we do allow custom avatars, your avatars are exact duplicates of the existing class badges, so can you please use those instead? If you feel that you can find a higher quality version of the class badges, for example, less aliasing, higher resolution etcetera, feel free to upload a new version of that file in question. Thanks Infi^ 17:19, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- I understood and agreed. I will put new files instead of those duplicates. --EpicEric 17:21, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Portuguese translation
Good day.
I saw that Blue Kleiner made the Portuguese and Brazillian translation of the Wiki, but most of the things are written in Brazilian way like "object". In European Portuguese, it's "objecto"; in Brazillian, "objeto". But errors like this keep going on and on and there are even parts which aren't translated. I would love to re-translate the Wiki to real Portuguese. I also updated the Portuguese translation of Pirates Vikings and Knights II (PVKII) like fixing grammar errors, bad phrase construction, etc.
~JPRAS
Thank you.
- Dear JPRAS,
- You really aren't up-to-date about Portuguese, are you? In 2009, the Orthographic Reform (not sure if it's said like this in English) was officialized. Here, we try our best to follow it. It doesn't matter if you are from a place where this hasn't been officialized, because it was, and that's what we'll use in this Wiki.
- Also, you can't claim that Brazilian Portuguese is a cheap immitation of European Portuguese. You're being disrespectful and prejudiceful with the Brazilian culture and history, which is against law, you know. Brazilian Portuguese is a very rich variation, and saying such a thing is a terrible offence.
- If you want to contribute to the Wiki, do it. But please don't offend anyone because of differences. If you mean to adress something to Blue Kleiner, otherwise, do it in his talk page, please.
- I hope you could understand me. --EpicEric 02:14, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- PS: I edited your message a little, without changing words or meanings. Just did it to make your sentences follow the grammar.
It was annouced 2009 but in schools and even in the governament still use the "old way". The computer ortographical error detector and even the Google translator say that for e.x."objeto" is wrong. I live in Lisbon, capital of Portugal. I meant no disrespect to the the brazillians or Blue Keiner. I just think the site's translation to portuguese should be made by a portuguese and not a brazillian.
Best regards,
JPRAS.
P.S. I will still wait for a RE. I hope that i can contribute to the wiki.
Im putting an example of a text and how it should be translated to Portuguese and the brazllian words/maners in italic.
