The Director's Vision is an unlockable taunt for all classes. When executed, the player puts their arms out and forms a square with their fingers.

This taunt is unlocked upon completing the "Star Of My Own Show" achievement.

Bugs

  • Should a player use the Director's Vision while holding a food item that can be activated through the taunt button, it will be consumed without activating its effect.
  • Taunting as a Heavy while having Warrior's Spirit will cause his fingers to clip.

Trivia

  • Out of all 9 classes, the Pyro is the only one with two separate animations for the taunt. One somewhat feminine, another more masculine, adding further ambiguity to the Pyro's gender, a running joke in TF2. The video below shows both animations.
  • This is the only taunt being available to all 9 classes all year round, with the thriller taunt only available during the Halloween event.
  • This is a common film gesture that is often stereotypically attributed to directors and photographers. By placing one's index finger against the opposing thumb on both hands, a natural square is created that mimics the widescreen aspect ratio of film. When placing this "square" over a prospective scene or event, one then can imagine or explain how the scene would look to a viewer if filmed or photographed, whilst keeping note of what may get cut off on the sides.
    • Some of the classes use a different method of the gesture in which both thumbs oppose each other and the index fingers are parallel.
  • Should a Medic use the Director's Vision while holding the Amputator, its healing effect will activate.
