130703-01 thoughts: Having just lost a small chunk of my brain copying league map histories (some of which by hand...), I had some thoughts regarding how to implement all this

-Add instances of a map being used in a competitive environment to its competitive map page. Probably at the bottom, after all the important stuff like rollouts/tactics.

-Only have competitive map articles for maps which have been implemented in a league which has an associated in-game medal. While this might shit all over wireplay, quite frankly having to copy 22 seasons of their maps by hand has given me absolutely no sympathy.

-Another thought is that the option to turn off random crits, and the introduction of tournament mode, was the [28th 2008 Patch]; it would make sense not to make pages for maps used in leagues before this date. I honestly don't remember whether there were even any tournaments operating before this date, but regardless it might cut out a little work; i know wireplay has, or at least had, a bad habit of bringing in really obscure maps for all of one season before discontinuing it.

-Maybe it would make sense to only have pages for maps which have been in more than one league for exactly this reason. I for one have never heard of cp_oilfield_v2 or ctf_aerospace_b4, and while i'm all for completeness, there'll probably be absolutely no avaliable information on these pages anyway.
