The Haunted Halloween Gift is a special pickup which spawns during the 2010 Halloween Special Event in Mann Manor. It appears as a large, green gift box with a yellow ribbon. The player who collects the gift box will receive a random Halloween Mask, upon collecting all nine, one can craft the Saxton Hale Mask.

The gift will spawn at one of many predetermined locations on the map, five minutes into the round or five minutes after the previous gift was collected. Upon its appearance, an alert will be sent to all players on the server. The first few seconds after the gift spawns, it is translucent and can not be picked up. This allows other players to move or kill anyone waiting for the gift to solidify. Once collected, another alert will be sent out informing all the players of the gift recipient, along with a cheery sound clip.

In order for the gift boxes to spawn, there must be a minimum of 10 players (not bots, actual Steam clients) on that server.

Bugs

• The gift can spawn in an inaccessible hallway, near the first control point, preventing players from reaching it. If uncollected the present will remain in location until the map changes.
• Before the October 28, 2010 Patch, players could collect the Haunted Halloween Gift by flying over them in spectator mode.

Trivia

• The gift has been confirmed to spawn in the RED spawn room.^{[citation needed]}
• If the gift spawns seconds before the round ends and nobody collects it before the teams switch sides, the gift will remain in place during the change.
• It is possible to collect the gift during Humiliation.
