Medic Robots appear in Mann vs. Machine as enemies. When spawned, their secondary weapon will always be trained on another robot, usually a giant, and will only heal that robot until it is destroyed, whereupon it will find another robot to heal. Provided that they have it ready, Medic robots will always deploy their ÜberCharge/megaheal whenever their patient's health reaches 60% of their maximum health or the Medic's health is below 54. When Medic robots are separated from their heal target or cornered by a player, they will fight with their Syringe Guns and look for their patient. If separated from their patient, Medic robots won't be able to deploy their charge until they find a new patient. Unlike the other robots, Medic robots have a wheel (or two wheels attached to a chariot in Romevision mode) to move instead of legs.

Quick-Fix Medics heal teammates much faster than Über Medics but have a very slow ÜberCharge rate, and are also equipped with a Syringe Gun and Bonesaw. They tend to appear in larger numbers than Über Medics. A second variant of Quick-Fix Medic has the same healing and ÜberCharge rate as the regular Quick-Fix. Because the healing rate of the first variation is much higher than the default megaheal, the first variation is possibly a straight upgrade. The only advantage that the second variant of the Quick-Fix Medic has is the knockback immunity offered by the megaheal.
Über Medic
These Medics don't appear often as other robots, but when they do, they usually accompany Giant Robots, sometimes even as many as twelve Medics on one Giant. Über Medics are equipped with a Syringe Gun, Medi Gun, and Bonesaw. They spawn with full ÜberCharge and will deploy their charges on whatever robot they are healing as soon as the patient's health is below 60% or the Medic's health is below 54, although it is both possible and often desirable to inflict enough damage in a single attack to kill the Medic without giving them a chance to deploy their Übercharge.

The first variation has a faster heal rate than the second and doesn't suffer an ÜberCharge duration penalty. Once he has deployed his ÜberCharge he will have to take about 80 seconds to fill it up again. This leaves a lot of time for players to destroy him while he's vulnerable.

The second variation heals a significantly slower and has a much faster Übercharge rate. In most conditions he will be able to have his charge ready within 16 seconds. If his charge is empty try to kill him as soon as possible before he gains another opportunity to deploy another charge.

The 3rd variation has a faster ÜberCharge duration. This makes them very dangerous if there is no demoman or other class which can to kill these medics in one shot. These medics only appear on 4th wave of Broken parts (Operation Mecha Engine, Bigrock) and are healing Giant Heavies.

4500 HP Spawns with full charge +40% knockback resistance +19900% faster heal rate -50% movement speed |
The Giant Medic heals its patient (almost always a Giant Robot) at 200 times the heal rate of the standard Quick-Fix, fast enough to instantly outheal any kind of damage the players can inflict. It spawns with a full Übercharge meter, and has a considerable amount of health, second only to Giant Heavies, "boss" giants, and Tanks. When the Giant Medic is heavily damaged (<54 health), it may deploy its Übercharge, completely refilling his health, gains immunity to knockback, and essentially becoming indestructible until the charge is finished. Like other medics, he will find a new healing target if separated from the old one. In the worst case, he will pocket the super Scout.

4500 HP +40% knockback resistance +19900% faster heal rate Regenerates 40 HP per second -50% movement speed -99% slower Übercharge rate Syringe gun has 90% damage penalty |
Although it doesn't have an Übercharge, it will regenerate health slowly, which can allow it to recover a large amount of health if left to do so.

Update history
- Fixed the Über Medics in Wave 4 of the Broken Parts mission charging at an incorrect rate.
- [Undocumented] Added -90% Syringe Gun damage penalty to all robot Medics.
- [Undocumented] Removed the secondary-only weapon restriction from Quick-Fix Medics.
Unused content
- There are three unused Medic robot types all using the Vaccinator in the game files. Each one uses a different resistance type with the Vaccinator.
- There are three unused Gatebot lights left in the game files. One adds a light to the chest and the back of the head, one adds a similar set of lights, but with more metal around them, and the other one adds two lights to the ear section of the head. The final Gatebot light also puts a light with a small cable hanging off of it, made to resemble a fez, on top of the head.
Trivia
- The wheel lacks a set of hitboxes, but instead uses the ones from the original Medic's legs despite them being off with the animations.
- There's another Giant Medic variation appearing only in Broken Parts and Caliginous Caper. He is identical to the Giant Medic except that he wears the Warsworn Helmet.
